Yes, it is an investment in the purchasing of Lloyds shares on behalf of shareholders. The cancelling of the purchased shares will transfer the value onto the remaining shares which will amount to about 2.8p per share - a good investment whilst the buy in price is way below shareholder equity value per share.

it is not valid if he doesn't specify that the accumulated spend figure is before tax is applied.
As I have said already know a running spend total is not needed as we know that £2 Billion worth of shares are being bought.

It is a question of posting a figure (although not needed at all) and saying what the figure is - Total cost or cost before tax - simple.
as I said though a cost figure is not needed at all.

I pointed out to you that tax was not being added.
You then decided to show total cost including tax.
You then recently decided to exclude the tax but STILL call it the total cost.
The total cost includes stamp duty.
Either state the correct total cost or state 'before tax'

the running totals are only going to differ by 0.5% depending on whether the tax is applied to the rns figures or not, so not a big deal.

lowest price of the day from 2 sources show 42.63p which would be a mid price.
Lloyds RNS shows the lowest price paid was 42.64p

basically the RNS price does not include tax

if £2 Billion is spent before stamp duty then that would not be the total cost of the investment plan.
Once again if you want to post a spend figure then you should indicate that it is BEFORE additional stamp duty tax.
