Well i am simply content with posting how companies that have a UK interest have performed on a particular day - ones that I would be aware of being a shareholder, which in my book is not a discussion is it? ,but I would respond to someone else making a post if another business is mentioned.

Fortunately because of inflation buying power of Lloyds shares now at 46p is far more affordable and better value than purchasing at 46p 12 years ago. Investors should count themselves lucky - 11% returns available.

I am sure there are bad days on an individual stock that an investor has purchased and smply holding ,but that same stock could present a good buying opportunity for another investor making it a good day for them.

I am sure many Vodafone shareholders counted today as a bad day, but i found it to be good.

Lloyds bank has a forward yields of about 6%

LGEN and AVIVA more than 6% etc

The time for Vodafone to have cut dividends would have been with these results, As they didn't then they must be confident about the affordability. I would not have minded if they had halved the dividend, but they didn't making it an easier decision to purchase today.

It was at 100p a little over 2 months ago

in April it rose about 7p to get close to £1 - now it is about 7p lower from the start of April.

share prices move up and down - I am happy to have made purchases at today's lower levels cum nearly a 4p dividend
