What is it you still do not understand. Is it memory problems again?

A buyback would have the effect of increasing the share price over what it would be without it having taken place. The price differential being dependant on the amount of shares that have been purchased.

Their reply may have accounted for a few days but not for the whole of the periods of no buying. I said at the time they had decided to stop buying - nothing to do with the algo, as we had the cases where purchases were stopped at a lower available price than had been bought at in the days before.

Basically, if the share price goes to 60P+ in a few months time and maintained,MS will be purchasing at that level during the course of the buyback.

yes a temporary limit if there is a sudden spike in share price to make it over an x% increase of average market price of the last Y days, but no limit to the share price paid over the course of the £2 Billion spend
