your record is stuck in the same place as a previous at least 50 times - it needs another nudge.
How many years will it take you or anyone else to get back the cost of each of your shares?
''to pretend that Lloyds have increased the dividend, BUT ONLY because 'they' using OUR cash have bought back more shares''
?? - you are one crazy women.
Buybacks for cancellation are a return to shareholders, increasing certain metrics - I can assure you that the dividend HAS been increased, they are not pretending.
I expect most shareholders would know that they would get a greater total dividend payment by using more of their cash to purchase more shares. Buybacks do this for them by increasing the percentage ownership that each remaining share has .
