Yes, just like someone who identifies as a trans women may still be regarded as a man by others - because they are.
What someone identifies themselves as, and what they actually are can be two completely different things .
DCB may identify himself as being smart, and a worthwhile contributor to the Lloyds banking group board, but is in fact the opposite.
