Understand your point regarding trust levistubbs - and also agree that Sarawak could be big. A couple of key aspects have kept me in here over the years and I added last week because of the positive newsflow. Also wanted to keep pace with the dilutive effect of the last capital raise, as now coming round to the idea mentioned by others that North Sea prospect could be monetised to fund Sarawak.
Nice update RNS on Sarawak and Dunrobin news due.
He seems to be following UPL quite closely at the moment.
What a difference a year makes. Company seems to be on a different footing strategically this year and needs to continue building the structure required to carry that strategy forward, and in turn justify it's main market listing - which has always been an attractive element of this company.
Added to my UPL holding this morning based on yesterday's RNS re. appointment of Professor Andrew Hurst as Non-Executive Technical Director, and expect sp to push through 1p from this level with favourable news on Dunrobin.
Ditto comments below - anticipation building here.
Two large share trades from yesterday morning posted after hours today (9.5m & 7m).
Company continuing to use @Uplandtweets to build the narrative around Sarawak and the increasing number of tweet 'likes' suggests growing interest in Upland.
Agree Passiton. Sarawak is the story for Upland now and Dunrobin could yet add significant value - share price high was reached on the back of Wick drill.
Growing interest and confidence in Sarawak prospect seems to be driving this forward at the moment.
Merry Christmas all and wishing UPL every success in 2023.
Agree Daltry. I was just thinking out loud really and I suppose my point is that an indicative offer price reported several weeks ago is holding as a baseline despite macro factors that have impacted negatively on the price of oil. This suggests to me that the realiseable value of the company to a current investor is likely higher than the indicative offer, whether that be through dividend distributions or an increased offer being tabled.
Fact that share price has held around 7.7p despite declining oil price since indicative offer, surely means that market thinks offer is below value.
Thank you, don_vercetti - exactly what I was looking for as my initial investment in early October was largely based on gut feel, having been aware of the company for a number of years. Will now do further research based on the information you've provided, but as far as I can see Graphene applications are almost endless and perhaps Haydale now just needs a little luck and some momentum.
Bought in here recently following the fundraise after years of watching - I saw the company presenting at an investor event a few years ago and made a mental note as I liked Haydale's innovation. Grateful if someone can provide a brief summary of expected developments over the next 6-12 months to get me up to speed. Thanks
Got the impression that the Tunisia project was Steve Staley's baby, so it may now fall away.
Sarawak is clearly the focus longer term, but Dunrobin could get interesting over the next few months.
Decent recovery today from a disappointing RNS.
Looking forward to solid, value adding news regarding Dunrobin.
NASDAQ: +7.35% closed
Ticking up again.
Moving up on low volume today - 0.4p paid.
