Very positive article in terms of the political outlook.

Positive that this was stated just a couple of month's ago in the Annual Report.

Also, on page 5 of the Annual Report, Business activity during the period: 'Upland made progress on exploration, completing pre-drill activities and receiving positive feedback from PETROS. It's advancing plans for drilling at the Santubong prospect.' Does the second sentence refer to Upland or PETROS?

I'm not convinced that the Petros/Petronas wrangling has anything to do with UPL's specific prospects in the region.

You're right about the Petros news release DFG insomuch as it's created a circle that can't be squared by shareholders, but the company did counter the article in a consequent RNS by stating that the Sarawak State Government is the final authority for awards of Petroleum Sharing Contracts for Sarawak Onshore Assets. Also more recently the RNS of 9 May closed off with the comment that the company looks forward to "updating the market appropriately on developments which have been years in the making" which can only relate to their prospects in Sarawak and/or Brunei.

In October 2023 Premier Abang Johari envisaged the drilling of an SK334 exploration well in 2025, which seemed a long way off at the time, but here we are and I'm holding for a positive development this year.

Just a bit of levity while we wait DFG ... but your question is the '$64million question' as it's the most difficult question for shareholders to answer at the moment.

@Serif - I suppose the fallout from Dixon Wong's directorship termination remains to be seen, but the question one has to ask is why would Professor Andrew Hurst continue to stake his reputation and money (a further £60k yesterday) so publicly on Upland Resources?

Bolhassan Di has more than doubled his holding by exercising 50m options and becomes the second largest shareholder. As interesting is the relatively large numbers of options exercised by the two UK directors.

Another indication that actual news is in the pipeline, it's just that we're none the wiser as to timing & scope.

IfIknew - Thought the expectation is a meeting in London.

There could be an intraday RNS tomorrow if a meeting takes place during UK market hours.

I'm just more sanguine about things today, but overall the frustration is building. Would love to see Upland get over the line.
