I've looked on a couple of stocks that had notices like this recently and neither really seemed to react much at all.

It seems a weird way of building a stake in a business by pre-announcing the days when your going to buy though.

So this could support my theory that a potential takeover bid is in the works?

They don't happen overnight, but this has been strongly tipped for a takeover since at least September. It's quite feasible that an approach could happen at anytime.

Literally in the post before this Manz said if the strike is resolved it'll be over 150.

Manz was also among a number of posters here who were good enough to give me reassurance when this dropped below 120.

That's why it's important to do your own research, but I think Manz is an optimist here at heart despite this comment.

Possibly most importantly, the bid here feels inevitabl eso all this could be irrelevant.

At the moment it feels like I got on the bus to John O'Groats, but they've had to take a deter via Lands End

It may be a coincidence, but the 240k sell at almost the low of the day is exactly the amount (give or take) that GLG would have borrowed. I'm not sure why they would do it in one go, unless they were trying to use brute force?

I did wonder if the drop this morning was GLG trying to hold it down after the strike news yesterday and then Tellworth took it as an opportunity to reduce

Overall a reduction, but I guess GLG wanted ammo to hold it down?

Moon if you look at the articles it seems to indicate this one is recommended by the Union so hopefully it will be accepted

I can't wait Paddy. Each time there has been a spike I've been tempted to take the loss and move on, but I've resisted (believe me I've had a real trigger finger in the past) as I've become more and more convinced (deluded?) as time has gone on.

I've never been in a stock that has had a takeover bid before, hopefully NEX can pop my cherry.
