Indefinite strikes are better for all because it means it will be resolved much quicker than those that are intermittent and have dragged on for months. It could even let NEX, renegotiate the deal with the contracting authority around price caps or similar.

This was announced on Thursday and was why we dropped from 130 to 120. So you're right that it had an impact on the price, but it won't come as a sudden shock on Monday. In fact prior to the banking concerns creeping back in, this actually rose on Friday morning as I suspect people realised that the sell off was overdone.

Bang goes my takeover theory then, although it is part of the remuneration package and he technically didn't buy them so I'm not sure if that's insider trading or not?

Well we are pretty much at the covid bottom here already (excluding the random 1 day blip). Could be why this hasn't taken the same hammering today as others, although now the cracks are showing again after the shorts walked it down all day.

Really hope it happens here. I know it will probably be cheeky and might well not be accepted, but at least it would give us a new base.

Is this similar movement to Wood Group before the offer landed Paddy?

10 years, you can't just be looking to double then, surely quadruple in that time?

I'm probably only looking at a 12 month timeframe, but this was my "recession proof" investment on the basis that I thought more people would need public transport as the cost to run vehicles increased.

I think Manz is right. It does feel like a takeover offer is coming too. It may not be accepted, but like Wood Group et al, it would see a rapid re-rate.

Despite the business being in a much stronger position, we are now almost at COVID lows (other then the very first day) so it feels like the time is right and the share price is at such a low level institutions may consider cashing out their positions, especially with the bargains elsewhere in the market thanks to the banking turmoil.

All rational thinking leads me to that conclusion too, but 6 months in this is really testing my patience.

It's those points I made though that keep me here, you just don't know when an RNS is going to land and then I'll be kicking myself for bailing out.

This is as much for my own mental well-being as anyone else's.

I am struggling so much here having been in since September. I did all the necessary due diligence and keep checking to see if things have changed or if there's something I've missed.

Reassuringly it has not, but it doesn't stop me feeling sick on days like this.

What I hold onto is the fact the trading update is positive as is the business outlook, but I also think there's more to be revealed:

We have a potential contract in Dubai (down to the final two)
We have apparently won a £500m contract in Saudi Arabia (but it hasn't been officially confirmed)
There's strong rumours of a takeover (and this is backed by the lack of director and institutional buys)

You need the patience of a saint here, but I remain convinced this will come good and if any of the above (especially a takeover) are confirmed then this could rocket.
