Really Peaky? Millions of trades at over £1.20 and then 56k of trades this morning drops it below. Probably too early to tell I'd say

There were only about 1.8m trades reported during the day, but after hours the total trades have risen to 6.5m.

I can't believe the amount of this stock that's being traded "off book".

I thought it seemed quiet on the trading volumes today, but in addition to the sizeable UT there have been 2 very large late reported trades.

That means openly reported trades during the day are less than a third of the total trades. Again, it really makes you wonder what's brewing here.

On that subject, are trading updates usually pre-announced? I just wondered if the BoD dropped it without notice to try and put pressure on any potential bidders here. They would want to get their offer in whilst the price is at its most surpressed I'd imagine to make it seem more appealing.

So with the trading update out of the way and sadly not having an 888 still immediate single day impact. Excluding external factors like inflation etc what else do we have to look forward to?

Potential new contract awards - Dubai and Saudi are both known and still outstanding
Potential bid interest (full takeover or part of the company)
Broker upgrades
Anything else on potential direct good news?

GI on the investors call they've said that the reason for this is largely because of award delays, rather than them losing.

They said the potential new business pipeline is unchanged from the FY 2022 update (which makes sense given that it was only about a month ago)

KG, yes seriously. It was on an ii news article so I can't copy and paste, but they said that they've raised it, but retain their hold rating.

888 didn't change their outlook and rose over 50% in the period shortly before and immediately after their trading update. Sometimes what the market needs is a reminder of how well a stock is doing. With this being at Covid lows, this should be the reminder that's needed. Hopefully LSE has got it's feed fixes so upgraded or even reiterated broker ratings show here so people can easily see what a bargain this is

Personally I think now is the 'further drop' (I don't just mean today).

We've had a significant drop in shorts since the previous recent low, this has risen a little, but then fallen back from the high 120's to here again. Some of that was from the divi, but not all so I think we are in the pullback right now.

Someone is holding it at the current range it seems, but the news has started and the chatter here is increasing. That's why I added more last week.

Plus there's the potential variable of a takeover related RNS that could send this soaring out of nowhere.

I wasn't coming at you I promise, just saying that you had projected some further downside and despite some positivity today both in direct news (as shared earlier) and indirect news (relating to traders betting thar interest rates have peaked) we've still seen a small drop.

I was giving you credit and hoping your projection of a rise was right too.

To be fair to Hindy though, they said it was looking like a small drop before a big reversal. Well here's the drop, please hurry up with the reversal.

It sucks to see the uncrossing trade at the low of the day. It seemed like such a good start to the day too, with good news and a positive movement in price
