It just seems odd to have the obligation to put your personal money into stocks. I can understand part of the remuneration package could be in shares, but what you've described sounds quite unusual (not that I've much experience in this area so I'm not questioning what you've said).

That's good to hear, hopefully you'll at least reach break even here at some point. I have a feeling it won't be too long before we have a sharp rise.

I think we need to start a leak about NEX takeover talks. JG had a good idea about writing to them.

Wow, I didn't think they would get away with that. To be fair, if NEX could at least reveal a low-ball offer then that would set us a new bottom. At these prices I really can't see a negative to revealing it.

That's exactly what a potential buyer would want here Paddy. 6 months ago we'd have laughed at that, now we'd feel a lot happier.

I thought the same LP, but apparently stocks are manipulated down to make the offer seem more attractive when it comes. No idea how they manage it, although I guess it's relying on impatience.

There has also been talk about National Express, the bus and rail company being a takeover target. Given the recent activity in the sector i.e. DWS Infrastructure buying Stagecoach, which National Express tried to merge with before the German group’s approach and the failed approach from Isquared for FirstGroup … you can see why. But what with the financing markets where they are and the threat of Labour government the market is buying that rumour at the moment …. Let’s see … no smoke without fire as they say

You probably need a little more research before making such a sweeping statement.

Also the reason for the lack of recent trades (buys or sells) is rumoured to because of insider information relating to a potential takeover or similar.
