As I projected yesterday, the ASOS bounce is on, when will that happen here?
Thanks KG, spotted this in the RNS yesterday. At least it seems the board still have the support of a huge majority of investors
Thinking about it, all the recent positive newsflow has largely focused on the coach division too.
A very interesting theory.
To be fair, the wider market was pretty poor today and this held its own for most of it.
I am loving the increased newsflow here and I'm convinced it's not a coincidence. In my opinion the board are trying to get this stock talked about and I think they are in a battle with a potential suitor who is trying to drive the price down to make their eventual offer seem generous.
I am so fed up of the negative price action, but everything else here looks really good to me.
Josey they aren't changing any of the buses etc this is purely a rebrand of the overarching group.
I actually think the rebrand is a good idea, have a feeling we'll see more news on the back on it shortly. I think something is brewing and this is aligning accordingly.
Thinking about it and seeing us closing at the low of the day. Could the shorts be pushing this down to cover the 5p dividend they're going to need to pay?
GI you were right afterall, just confirmed by FCA that they increased yesterday. What the hell is going on?
Agreed KG. After millions of shares were traded earlier in the day at a higher price, this then capitulates on comparatively small volumes
This doesn't appear to have been on previous AGM's. Hopefully it's a sign of intent as we need something to help pick this stock up off the ground. Shorts have it too easy here.
I bet ASOS will be have a good rise tomorrow though (largely because I'm not a holder), whilst this continues its pitiful price action
Thanks KG. I suspect that will be the most contentious point, we'll see I guess
No worries, it's worth pointing out just in case anyone new here misinterpreted what I was trying to say
Sorry KG, I wasn't suggesting this is in any way the same other than that Liberum seemed to have called a price and the market has followed
KG, is there a way for us to follow the results? The big one is the divi
First here now ASOS
Liberum slashed its price target on Asos on Wednesday to 500p from 700p after the online fashion retailer's interim results.
Both heavily shorted stocks, coincidence?
Do they ever use these events to share news?
I did wonder if they are allowed to add an article to vote on to those that were published in advance. For instance, moving to the US exchange possibly?
GI where have you seen they've increased?
PC, NEX is well ahead of the game in this regard. It's already had its 70% drop.
Is there a way to watch / listen to this online? It only has an iCal link on the investors relations page
In all seriousness, I think this once again shows the company is not in distress (despite certain comments here and the way shorts want us to feel).
It is also better positioning the company as a global business making it even more appealing to international investors or PE. Wouldn't surprise me to see further announcements later today at the AGM.
