A big thanks to Ben Turney, CEO at Kavango Resources for choosing to make an announcement about bulk mining in Zimbabwe on London South East. Kavango will continue to develop at Karakubis in the Kalahari Copper belt and at Ditau, however the main focus will now be the three new projects in Southern Zimbabwe: the Nara Project with it’s bulk mine option, Hillside and Leopard. Following this morning's RNS announcement, George Bennett CEO has done an indepth video interview with London South East/focusIR. The Memorandum of Understanding discussed is with the world's largest producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, The Mosaic Company, who are NYSE-listed. The fundamentals of the gypsum stack at Uberaba in Minas Gerais in Brazil are very similar to the Phalaborwa gypsum stack, and George thinks they can extract valuable rare earths from it using the K-tech proprietary technology which they licence, creating a valuable new revenue stream. Richard Hulf spoke to London South East and made a compelling investment case for green hydrogen. Richard believes that the only viable replacement for grey hydrogen in industrial processes like the creation of ammonia is green hydrogen. This is a $175 billion dollar market. Europe alone is forecast to need 300 Gigawatts of green hydrogen, yet currently only manufactures 1 GW. This shortfall represents a huge gap and a great investment opportunity, which is why the HGEN fund was set up in 2021 to invest in hydrogen and hydrogen focused assets.
