On an exciting day for #LBE shareholders, we caught up with Longboat Energy CEO Helge Hammer. He was incredibly happy and described this as one of the best days of his life. Japex (Japan Petroleum Exploration Co) are putting $150M into a Longboat Japex joint venture aimed at creating a substantial E&P company focused on oil and gas development projects in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Please find our interview with Aldo Boitano, CleanTech Lithium CEO here. He summarised the new National Lithium policy, saying it was 'good for Chile, good for the environment and good for CleanTech Lithium'. It did not come as a surprise and has been talked about between the industry in Chile and the Government for some time. The Chile public-private partnership policy applies to the larger salars and not the ones CTL have sole rights to. Chile want to become the number one producer of Lithium in the world, ahead of Australia, and to do so in a more environmentally friendly way. Aldo believes that the CTL's green know-how, the salar drill campaign, advanced DLE technology driven by solar power and with clean brine put back into the aquafer is a commercial model which the Government can learn from - and one which CTL can derive commercial benefit from.
