Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
It was around early June last year iirc. I think as we approach FY results we MAY start to generate renewed interest here... Koyfin is suggesting May 13th as next earnings date.
Gets you thinking as to what is driving this sudden movement here.. hopefully something nice.. and big!
I do get the feeling that this war is fueled by nothing other than Putin wanting to have his last hoorah. He's almost 70, he already has some health conditions (he was very isolated for this reason during COVID). Maybe this is just some f..ed up way of him securing his 'legacy'?
I was glad to see the massive protests happening last night especially considering the fact these protesters know what risk they are taking by simply objecting to this illegal invasion.
"UK TO BAN AEROFLOT AIRCRAFT FROM LANDING IN UK"
This is my opinion on the WH acquisition:
The William Hill digital assets are far beyond what 888 currently have. Look at the William Hill app, look at the 888 app. I know which one I would rather use.. and it's not the company I'm currently invested in. 888 will also now have access to the expertise of the developers & engineers working for WH in this aspect.
Yeah, the brick & mortar betting shops are dying but I am sure (maybe hopeful?) that the board will have a strategy on what they're going to do with these and I agree it would be good to have this outlined. I think the William Hill name & brand in and of itself is worth a fair bit of money in this sector.. 888 is still fairly fringe to those who aren't regular gamblers and should only help to give credibility to 888's operations.
SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Russia-focused firms sink after invasion...
"Hyve Group PLC, down 14% at 91.43p, 12-month range 80.95p-158.20p. Shares in the companies - significantly exposed to Russian business - fell sharply after Russia invaded Ukraine. "
Very sad situation right now.. god bless all the people in Ukraine. Tough times ahead for all I think..
I think in this case its not just DKNG.. partly yeah but the situation in Ukraine right now is causing havoc across world markets. FTSE 3% down.. I expect that to worsen by the time US opens.
Imo, 888 looks dirt cheap right now.. BUT the macro situation is so volatile.
Good luck everybody.. tough times for the foreseeable
As someone with Crohn's Disease I would be very interested in this.. unfortunately the link isn't working for me, I get a 404
DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG) beats expectations but lower EBITDA forecast... stock is down -13.87% in the pre-market
May continue to drag the sector down over here..
I'm not expecting any formal announcement from the company for a while yet still unfortunately, just judging by how they've been communicating over the past year. What I would like to see however is their website updated and starting to shift away from the pure COVID focus that they've got going on.
Whilst thats been great for the last year it's time to start building up the SEO for the home diagnostic kits & getting ready for the forthcoming product release..
BOOTS: MyHealthChecked At Home COVID-19 PCR Swab Test Kit (for General Use and Fit To Fly)
24 Purchased in Last 24 Hours | 9 People Looking Right Now (at 22:48 on a Monday)
And on Trustpilot.. MyHealthChecked replied to about 4 pages (3.5ish) of reviews today, obviously making up for those left over the weekend. The overwhelming majority of these are 4/5 stars.
Totally agree with you on new products, I've been moaning about the lack of movement on those since last September.. I don't even want their products released just some news to inspire new investors to put their money in this company.
I've been meaning to avg. down here for a while here as I'm still embarrassingly stuck in the mid 300s, gonna have to get on it as I agree sentiment seems to be changing here. Not withstanding any major market moves I think we'll have pretty decent earnings report, nothing amazing but nothing unexpected. Gambling commission report has been delayed until May (COVID cited as cause) I can see that dragging the sector down depending on how quiet the newscycle is when it's released.
Hoping the WH acquisition can go through swiftly would like to hear more about the gameplan there. I see they've done some minor but welcome UI improvements to the 888sports website which was long overdue, still work to be done there. Hope they'll learn a thing or two from William Hill's development team.
I think they were buying the brand more than the retail stores. I agree, it is a bizarre decision to make (particularly in the middle of a global pandemic). Along with brand recognition the William Hill app is currently sitting in #11 in Sports category on Apple App Store. 888 sport is sitting at #32. The William Hill app is much better developed, user friendly & appealing. 888sport app is ugly, outdated, less popular and more difficult to use.
Yeah I agree Aberystwyth, I don't see them wanting to needlessly rock the boat right before the consolidation & placing - I imagine it's where their entire focus is at the moment
In the interview published Friday "Chief executive Penny McCormick said: “The evolution of our wider portfolio is around wellness with our first products launching in April"
Now this is MHC and these products have already been delayed countless times but I think they're still due to come out in April.
I remember asking on the recent investor QNA if the wellness tests would be "on the shelves of physical stores" when launched and got a rather tepid answer from Penny. I'd hope now that the Lloyds deal has progressed & undoubtedly the wellness products were delayed since that QNA that fingers-crossed this would change and will release in stores in April. But something to be cautious of.
Great to finally hear something from the CEO after a while of nothingness & things should hopefully be making a turnaround here starting with the imminent results which should be fantastic. A shame that we'll be waiting until April for products which were supposed to be out well before last October but good that a date has now been formally announced to the press.
I, for one, will be averaging down yet again come monday.
thanks, although must confess wasn't my tweet - just happened to find it in the hashtag ;)

"#bids Still thinking who the AAA Game publisher, it's EA SPORTS. The game is Grid Legends. Release date 25 Feb, 2022 on Pc, Xbox one, PlayStation 4 5, Xbox Series. Where is the SP 5p, just a joke..."
Biggest confirmation yet if true
Have a great christmas everyone. Hopefully we can all spend some of our Christmas money on some MHC wellbeing tests in Q1 22!!
The moment we have non-covid products alongside the fantastically well selling PCR & LFT products I think many of us will have a big smile on our faces. The news today was fantastic and a great turnaround in sentiment from where we were at the start of this quarter when things were starting to look a little bit sour with the sudden change in testing rules.
I still think the markets are being overly cautious here and worry about PCR testing rules being pulled at any moment (although looking increasingly unlikely to be pulled any time soon). COVID revenues are very volatile as proven by the fact we're doing much better than many were expecting but that could also turn the other way at any moment. Non-COVID product range will give us the stability we need to go flying imo.
Well done Penny & everyone at MHC. Very difficult to criticise the way this company has been run so far but I think when the right time comes a bit of self-promotion & showing off to the markets wouldn't go amiss.
I do hope for once we are able to sustain the very well deserved (but still undervalued imo) gains in SP here.
