Gavster, I am also in agreement with your assessment of DLG - In terms of investment strategy, I'm more comfortable choosing an entry point to buy and holding for dividends than trying to time both buys and sells to make money that way. My returns are usually combined with fresh money to start the process again. This approach tends to lend itself to the UK market that ( currently ) has plenty of high yield stocks. I realise high yield doesn't tell the full story, but using DLG as an example it's comfortably profitable, covers its divi and has room for growth. I feel there is certainly more upside than down and the return is chunky. A sell for me would be if ever the stock price rises to such a point where it becomes worthwhile swapping to another company with similar fundementals but higher yield.
