I picked up on that within the interview too - I wondered if they were going to start work on them as I'd have thought that is a significant production milestone and worthy of an RNS in itself if so?

Yeah I think a few did that - it was very promising for a while but it looks like Shandong didn't get anywhere near the price they wanted - and with things progressing well there is absolutely no need for a firesale. The upshot is that I think they'd be okay with a takeover providing it's over Shanta's own valuation - they are on the verge of bringing a second mine online and as you've seen, the West Kenya results are extremely good so they know what can be achieved and don't want to sell just before the tide turns.
2023 could be a good year for both Shanta & GGP, so I'm holding and adding to both when I can. They are two of quite a few companies that (to me) look like 2023 could be re-rated with significant announcements.

Hi Matty, I'm in Shanta - the 721g/t is great but you have to see over what length the hit is, which is 0.6.
As a rule of thumb if you multiply the two together you can compare hits with each other, so in this case it's a really good 432.6 - but GGP has had stuff like 10g/t over 120 which is 1200.

Was trying to look to see what was in the public domain for Environment Agency applications.
The ABTO status was RNSed in September so I was looking for it online.
I was really confused to start with - I looked in the "Index of the Public Register of Approved Batteries Treatment Operators" ( ABTO ) in the following government area:

Anyway I was just digging and thought it may interest some.

If it does turn out that the FS promotes the idea of a bigger mining project and more costs are needed, these costs aren't all required up front.... I thought this was the whole point of the 'starter mine' area - the initial capex is (within a percentage) a known, then this is followed by some cashflow - and with an 'improved' FS you know where you're heading long term with expansion plans. An expanded FS coupled with ever geater knowledge of what is down there will ensure that there are minimal changes of approach or design as this JV works through the enormity of what is ahead. Also, as others have said, any increased costs will pretty much guarantee a bigger delineated asset .
