"OBR forecasts are not too accurate" Hi MV, the point was though that you need to at least show your workings. At the moment, every time either LT or KK get a difficult question, they answer with "We are aiming for growth" - we *know* that. The market needed to at least be shown how the changes they were attempting to put in place could be funded.
The first big mistake of all was not getting an OBR forecast. The second big mistake was more borrowing at the same time as removing the 45% tax band and not realising this was going to cause a (understandable to me) backlash. A backlash is something the media love and they won't let go. Truss is on borrowed time, already, which is astonishing.
One thing I did read in the placing RNS ( and it links in to what Doublehun said about lock in period) is that within the "Representations and Warranties" sections there is a load of stuff about the placees requirements: "By submitting a bid and/or participating in the Placing each prospective Placee (and any person acting on such Placee's behalf) irrevocably acknowledges, confirms, undertakes, represents, warrants and agrees ...." In points 24-27 of that section there is stuff about not being able to sell in 6 months from admission. But there are many caveats. I'm not brilliant at interpreting these things so it's probably worth reading first-hand.
Hi CJ, I would be pleased with that answer but 'm not convinced - the voting rights went down too, from: 138,800,022 130,300,022 You would expect that to stay the same?
IOT. - whatever happens with this company, you always have some nightmare scenario that you put forward. Follow the simple rule of only put in as much money as you can afford to lose. For those who feel this project is substantially derisked, buy more. If you don't feel that way, sell or don't invest.
Yep! By the way, when I 'wrote' "Just sit tight for a couple years and the benefits will come. Hopefully back at 30p this time next year!" I wondered whether Plode recognised it as one of his/her own comments from June last year?
"Hopefully the corner has been turned after 2 years of pain..." Just sit tight for a couple years and the benefits will come. Hopefully back at 30p this time next year!
