My allocation is relatively small. Even if I say I'll take up to 50k in the OO (on the basis that if you don't ask, you don't get), that is still a modest sum which I can meet through other means/markets.

IG say they don't need the money in my account to pay for them until 12 August. They only need to be informed by 5th August.

So, I've decided to wait and see what happens on 30 July, plus news which affects other holdings, dividends, etc before deciding how to pay for them.

This is an open offer, so unfortunately that won't happen.

I made the same mistake thinking I could sell some to pay for the rest.

I am simply curious to find out whether they notified you by email.

Why? Because it took a 30 minute call with IG and another few hours to get an email from the IG corporate actions team. I'm hoping by now all there accounts with Scancell shares have received an email.

Until recently, I didn't log into my IG account every day - usually it was monthly or more. I only log into daily now to collect the the daily spread info from my watchlist.

My simplistic view is that AZ is paying £1BN for only a fraction of Scancell's portfolio of products. . .

I think you could be correct - particularly after CEO Cliff Holloway speaks on 30 July.

In one of the earlier rights issues, I didn't receive the notification in time to act upon it. I won't make that mistake again.

I was told over the phone and by email this morning that my allotment was 1 for 10 (IG) - I've just received the Corporate Actions email saying 4 for 51. I'm going to put in enough money so there is spare for the extra shares should they give it to me...

Scancell's info on the sites which track this says they expect trials to begin in Q1 2021 - eg pre-clinical.

xd date I was told was 23 July so nothing past that date counts. I asked as I bought some this morning.

Believe that this is a known strain from outside the country. They think it has been there from early July, and are evacuating around 80k people, many of them tourists.
