Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Apologies, it is up on the last trade. I assumed it was a slow start, vut I seel some sellers are active.
Because it is up on the start of the day . . .
MiaV, I think you could be correct about that.
I have not checked whether I even had a notification from IG about the placing, but considering that I have to often reach out to them, I would not be surprised to find that it did not arrive.
LL
I have traded actively in the past, but PIs like me generally miss out on these one day placements- no notifications, etc.
Gutted that they have sunk the share price once again.... It's bad enough that institutional shareholders have played this trick over the past two years....
Did not catch the typo....
I would be interested in whether the US tax credit from an ISA can be deducted...
CB, u would be interested in the answer.
Paul, Agree! The real winners are those who managed to get onto a trial early enough to benefit NOW - absolutely priceless.
David, Thanks for crunching the numbers. My son and I were discussing this issue (as you do) o er the weekend.
Of course, if this Government decides to tried the personal allowance, then a SIPP would make a better option for almost all women (whise pensions are, on average, a tiny proportion of men's.
I'm looking forward to the judgement on the WASPI issue - though I'm not expecting the full £50k that the CONs took to plug their fiscal hole. .
November is turning out to be rather warm for me - now that I've said that, no doubt a coldfront will move in to prove me wrong!
ATB all, LL
I was looking forward to the AGM this year and got quite excited that it would be via Investor Meet last month. I even submitted a question!
I understand it is now in person only on 29th November. Is that correct?
I'll be travelling and thus unable to attend a face 2 face meeting. If there isa video link, could someone please post the link? I will have some headphones with me and if I'm able to do so, I'd lo eto listen in.
Hopefully next year will be the year when I get there in person.
ATB all, Ll
I have a query about said SIPP - eg withdrawals.
Current state pension is almost at the threshold of the personal allowance. Son on withdrawals, the first 25% would be tax free, and the 75% would fill up the marginal rates. When I did the calculations, I decided to stick the high divis in the ISA because withdrawals would be tax free.
With company pension payments, on top of the state pensions, you'll already in the 20% tax band for the 75% of the withdrawal.
Thoughts / observations?
I'm with IG and filled in the form, so my divi withholding is currently 15%.
Is the AGM going to be via Investors Meet?
Does anyone know if the questions posed for the original results meeting will be transferred to this one?
Redmile CLN considerations : 3 scenarios - in no particular order
1. RM trigger and as a result, have to issue a takeover of Scancell
2. RM sell enough shares to ensure a takeover is not triggered by CLN conversion
3. Scancell increase # of shares, and RM do not take up their rights and or do an additional CLN
Any other scenarios besides an outside takeover of part or all of Scancell?
Re HOW it got produced so quickly: 1. GOVT Funding, 2. International Reg agreement, 3. Lowering the criteria for acceptability.
ON POINT 3, WHO wanted an efficacy rate of 95% plus. They settled for far lower.
Initial vaccinations rates were not in the 90+ percentile, so in addition to lower efficacy, I dected contaminated those unvaccinated. This enabled the virus to mutate, rhus rendering the vaccine ineffective against new strains.
Perhaps in some alternate universe, Scancells or someone else tech targeting the N protein. Would have prevailed and we could have save many more.
With death certificates not listing Covid as the cause of death unless it Was within 28 days of contraction, we will never know how many actually died because of covid. I believe there are large bets on how to profit from all the complications arising as a result of catching covid, so more cheddar for the medical fraternity.
Re low take up rates, in Scotland GPs no longer give flu or covid vaccine shots. The LHA come round on 1 day, so if you don't know about it, or are away, you miss the opportunity and have to ring up to find out when and where they are next.
I had my shots a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping I'm good for travel - I'll be wearing a mask regardless and taking precautions as I tend to meet those who need to be careful.
Agree. I believe that they have news / plans to announce. I sèm to remember several years ago that they announced by end Oct. So for me, this is not extraordinary to have it a week or two ahead of that.
Indeed, I'm with IG and I lose on the currency transactions each divi.
I have asked if divis an be automatically reinvested, to save the grief. Anyone have some clout with DEC?
I added some using g the divi. Wish I had more cash to add more.
Not quite sure why an II has not taken a punt and bought all the available float in the market- 17% divi and a rebound which could guarantee xmas bonuses.... All the best all, LL
I believe this issue has been answered by others far more knowledgeable than me. From what I remember, DEC.operate in the USA, and taxes are automatically taken from dicis. You can fill in a form to cut the withholding to 15%. Even with the 15% withholding, DEC. Divis are consistently the highest I've seen outside a REIT.
C7, I'm not here much, and was only checking in today to see if there was news about forward announcements ahead of the AGM. I just want with wish you all the best, and also that breaking even after taking what you needed for past few years is a good outcome.
I'm hoping that I can get to this year's AGM, particularly as a relative has been diagnosed with S4 pancreatic cancer and I'm hoping to hear what, if anything is available in Scancell's pipeline. Though it has been been a few weeks now, it is fair to say that all are still aghast at the implications of a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
I am truly chuffed to hear that you have been given the all clear - if you are ever up in my area (Argyll & Bute), happy to meet up at a mutually inconvenient place to sample the langoustines, etc. I'm taking up fishing for mackerel for the dog - she loves it. Very best wishes, LL
Thanks Chester for that. I had it in my head that it was end October for some reason. No worries.
On a Waverley trip tomorrow so I'll check back over the weekend.
All the best to everyone, LL
