Boohoo, asos, rolls Royce, tui all at near 52 week lows. A pragmatic view needs to be formed here. Will people stop buying clothes or going on holidays? Or will they shop around and look for the most competitively priced products in the market… I personally feel this will be the rebirth of fast fashion, weekend breaks and package holidays. Serial shoppers and holidayers won’t change but they will focus their needs on the most competitively priced products… the market trends as a whole will continue so you need to take a view on the market in general. Be in the market or out the market. At these levels they are holds and buys…. Not sells.

Yes agreed, boohoo has been a great trading share the last 2 years. But buying at 54p, 52p and 48p that’s a long term hold for sure.

…. I would agree, however… I feel boohoo will actually increase its market share in challenging times like this. I think a new type of client will be going to the website, one that is cost orientated and looking for clothes at 50% discount to the high street. I also like the charge on returns now. For me, I have a pair of shorts in the wardrobe I’m never going to wear as they cost £10 and I couldn’t be bothered to send them back.

There has been a lot of scaremongering about Revb and the suspension. I’m fine with it again. Less happy with the accounting issue but it will sort itself. Even if it suspends it will come back. This will run in September and I’m glad I’m in nice and low.

The last three days have been terrible for the market as a whole. To sit here and go boo is ruined based on the current market sentiment as a whole is not the right or correct thing to do. I would be interested to see what company charts are stacked up in a positive manner currently- there won’t be many. Buying at all time lows when an update is due in sept, with over a 7% short base, there will be upside.

All this cutting back- I would like to think it brings new clients to boohoo. Who would buy shorts for £60 when boohoo sells them for £6- even I used boohoo which I never thought I would.
