@Ophidian, not sure I’m reading the thread correctly, but is the suggestion that there is some delay in technology transfer on the part of Cytiva?
Why would it not be in Cytiva’s best interest to expedite technology transfer, as presumably they will be taking a cut of sales revenue?
Could they be using the situation to negotiate on a US manufacturing deal? Maybe some political pressure?
Seems to me a good outcome would be Cytiva at least manufacturing in US if not a Cytiva branded test for the US.

Of the ‘test’ companies, only AVCT.
But on the strength of (in my view) the wider strategic potential of the underlying Affimer (and preCision) technology platforms.
With due credit to Klaus et al @ Cytiva we will probably soon have a capability to not only quickly and reliably detect SARS-Cov-2 but other viruses using designed-for-purpose Affimers. ‘Designed-for-purpose’ is what separates us from mAb’s – big pharma may well wake up to this at some point?

Yes, great post and very good news.
The US National Institute for Health (NIH) has known about this since at least 25th August and posted the update on 28th August. Transitioning to "Pivotal phase".
This is a very 'big deal', potentially a 'beautiful' deal, do we have a US pardner?

COPD trial results will be either good or not good – both for treatment of COPD and support for Covid19. Peer review / publishing Covid19 trial data and analysis will have either a positive or negative influence on sentiment, ‘at home’ trial results either support and confirm hospital trial or not.
Positive results from above should trigger a cascade effect – early use authorisation, licensing, phase 3 trials, acquisition, etc. Govt will not have the option to dither.

Great find, yes does look like these results (sens 84.6%/spec 90.0%) are well down on the earlier lab results (96%/96%), and seems the market not too impressed. This apparently the best tested at the King Fahd Medical Research Center, so let’s hope ours wasn’t one of the others!

BBC Radio4 Inside Science to cover the detection of SARS-Cov-2 in sewage @ 16:30 today.
Most will know about our ‘collaboration’ with Integumen (SKIN) to provide Affimers for the detection of SARS-Cov-2 in waste water. Most will also know that the Integumen CEO Gerard Brandon is quite ‘expansive’ and not shy of the use of Twitter. So far nothing to suggest this item will be about the Integumen solution or if Affimers will get a mention, but may be worth a listen?
