As Steve intimated it is normal practice for big IIs to sell small amounts to comply with their own constitution/strategy. It could be that now the 2 million odd shares they sold (and they still hold more than 123 million)...have been absorbed by the market and that is why today the SP has risen so much!!

I may be totally wrong......but..........I doubt very much that Boo management would have instigated an investigation knowing that they were to shoot themselves in the feet..........I am as certain as I can be that while they are not ultra clean they will come out of this, like most other large companies that have been tainted with the same allegations in the past, as a shining light to industry!!!!...........I think management, so far, have done a pretty good job at answering the allegations.....Which, for most part were inaccurate and, in my opinion, an attack on Boohoo for growing so quickly and now dominating the fashion industry!!

I agree with Jimmy. They immediately responded to the initial Times allegations and quickly set up their own independent enquiry. To do so, to me, they have nothing to hide. In my opinion the enquiry may find a few faults and Boo will quickly instigate mitigation. The Times and Guardian articles were a blatant attack on the Company. As well as responding to the news they requested Patel to work alongside the Company to rectify the problems in the industry. I believe that they haven't responded further as they don't want to get involved in a slanging match with the press...they are also a huge investor in the UK garment industry and while they have a responsibility to ensure that their suppliers meet their own standards and guidelines I would say it is impossible to audit every one of their suppliers regularly enough to ensure they are meeting those standards (all of the time). Before my retirement I was an auditor of medical equipment, Pharmaceutical and food manufacturers supplying to the Company I worked for ....one of the largest Companies in the world... and a visit every two or three years was the norm......and reviewing documentation was a big part of that audit.....but impossible to monitor the Company actions on a day to day basis..

David.....................Everybody to their own..............PP has done very well holding long term............There is nothing wrong in that. Problem with trading is that it is very very difficult to sell tops and buy at the bottom. Investing should be longterm....gambling short term. I know from experience that the most profitable strategy is taking a long term view and holding. In April after stocks started to rise again I sold all my funds completely in ISAs ...(That I have built up in my wife's name and my own for the last 20 years) worried that I just couldn't see any reason for stock markets to rally.................and what have they done? I have no regrets at all about holding in cash.......and have invested heavily in Boo after the second big fall..................I now hold 70,000+ shares at an average of around £2.40 and made up (I think) what I am down if I had held all my funds without selling. I had a very big holding in Baillie Gifford Golbal discovery .....that I sold at £18.......now over £22.00..............but had them for quite a few years and they made a pretty good profit for me ................They are, of course a big II of Boohoo and one of the biggest assets for them was buying Tesla shares years ago............(i digress)........I understand completely what you are saying and at some point I will be selling my Boo shares.......but I can only see them going upwards in the next couple of years...........So will only sell when I think they are no longer a great bet!!

I came in from the garden at 4.20pm to check prices..... and bid was 2.00 and ask 2.02................for the next 10 mins I tried dummy sells.......(5000 shares) and was offered over just 2.02 numerous at least 5 dummy sells to 4.30pm.....!!!

Furey............All the trades posted today at 22.50 and 22.65 are sells.....the only buys are at 22.98 and 23p.....MMs now offering me 22.7p to sell 50,000

Shakey.....There must be a reason why MMs are offering such a good price though..........They can only soak up the sells if there is a buyer in the background...or they know positive news is about to drop...surely?

Virtually all sells today, yet the price being offered rises......can sell 50000 at 22.65p ..............something must be about to be announced
