Thanks Daz, that gives me a ball park to play in where I have in mind to get out. I'm also in HZM which is looking very good, so depending where that is and reinvestment opportunities might decide it. Either way good to know this is primarily an Li driven venture. A peak on the licence is looking likely but as you say AIM is an unpredictable beast and this share could sore for longer than expected on just sentiment! A strong hold for now at least!
Just to add I also don't feel HZM will sell out before production. They just seem in too strong a position to need to do that. I was in BCN and they were basic in comparison to all the work HZM have done. BCN sold out to Gangfeng (in the process of but it looks in the bag) but HZM just doesn't feel like that at all. Let's hope HZM can take this all the way to production and become one of the world's largest nickle producers at the forefront of the EV revolution. No one will be remotely wondering about 30p a share then let alone 6p. Hold on now I say!
Love the banter on here but more seriously what people's view on where and when to sell on, let's hope, decent gold news. I remember watching GGP when it was just under 3p. I was new to investing at the time and thought it had peaked. Oh how wrong I was 37p later I saw the mistake I'd made. However, mistakes are perhaps the best form of learning. There is a lot of talk of 1p, 2p, 3p, 4p or even 5p which seems largely lithium orientated and on a quick peak. The gold though could be different beast, GGP was a slow but steady burner 0.5p a day here 0.25p a day there sometimes a 1p jump but it went up steadily day by day for a fair amount of time. So, could KOD be a similar fish? Thoughts?
I'm in agreement that a quick bounce back is likely. We don't fully know what is really going on with this seller and the AIM certainly peaks and dips but for now that's the game we are in.
The fundermentals haven't changed though:
+ The nickle is in the ground and HZM own it.
+ Nickle is in demand and this is set to increase.
+ HZM are in the best position to mine the nickle.
+ HZM are in the advanced stages of finance and off take agreements.
+ The mines are financially viable in terms of debt to set up ratio given they have good mining life prospects.
So, this doesn't strike me as take over territory as HZM is so advanced now. So as long as HZM hold on to the land and can get the ball rolling on the construction phase I'm really not that bothered by this dip. Such is life on the AIM sometimes. With any luck a year or so from now HZM, all going well, will make a move up to the main markets where we'll see steady growth and more stability.
Whoever thinks shares are boring should invest in KOD, anything but! Love this share, no end of dramas. Joking aside let's hope for some top gold results and good license news soon!
Yes, a joint venture would be our best outcome by far, our Aussy chumbs next door have one with Gangfeng as does Lithium Corps Americus so it is happening else where. Baconora BCN fell fail to a take over and Gangfeng paid 67.5p a share which was the peak it had been in 12 months and I seem to remember this was due to an AIM rule. Still pretty low as most agreed a target SP for BCN as 125p. KOD is a different beast though and I suspect BA won't want to part with his gold. The Mali instability may also play into our hands, as the Chinese would prefer to spread the risk with us. If this is the case it will be the off take agreement where they push us the most on. Either way a very good share to be in at the moment!
Daz what's your view on buy outs? As far as I know any company proposing to buy out another company on the AIM has to offer at least the best SP it has had in 12 months. Some AIM rule somewhere I seem to recall. My gut feeling is a joint venture here as opposed to a buyout by Sino as Bernie doesn't come across as a grab and run type plus there is the gold tied up with Kodal's assets too. What are your thoughts?
Knowing BA's habits on RNS's and the general timelines for business trips and the signs from Twitter that BA's met everyone required an RNS update next week isn't an unreasonable guess. It might not necessarily contain licence news as I suspect this is now out of KOD's control and down to the Mali Government to process now. Still an RNS update as to where we are in Mali isn't unreasonable. Let's not forget BA has to pop to Ivory Coast as well or maybe that's where he was for those five days!
I have to agree that the licence news might take a bit longer to come through as it is probably now down to the government administrators to process it all for the final PM sign off. Still not going to sell though as this is not a given and when it does land given the interest in KOD the SP is likely to move far to quickly to get such a decent nibble of the apple as is on offer here. The gold may well be a very nice bonus so sitting tight is the order of the day!
Not to be a tamper either but I do have to agree. It's very unusual for a small exploration company to make it to a resource company and on the verge of becoming an actual mining company. That alone is a great sign of a well run company worth investing in. I'm planning to hold this one longterm and look forward to following it's next big step into construction!
I think the question is a fair one as this stock is hard to call. Lithium is going to be in high demand so the turn around on getting this mine into construction might happen faster than you think. Plus there is the gold thrown in the mix. I remember GGP when it was 3p next thing you know on it's jolly way to the teens where it flirted with 20 for a while... and so on. KOD is hard to say so I'll go with my gut. I also have a good interest in HZM too so will be keeping an eye on possibly shifting some there if I think KOD has peaked. It's all a guessing game, trust your gut that's all any of us can do at the end of the day!

All serious trading talk aside I am feeling like a boy again on the night before Christmas. Exciting week potentially next week, let's hope it's not a duffer like when my auntie gave me a Now 22 tape with everything I hated on. Hoping to unwrap an absolute cracker of an RNS next week, Good luck KOD holders!
It's hard to say. Given the quantity of Li in the ground and the clear and coming demand for the EV market (if you are in any doubt that will hit then you must be living in an igloo somewhere that will melt if it doesn't) then the debt to pay back time doesn't strike me as the issue. The real issue is can Kodal deliver on the engineering front. If they can, they'll get the finance. If they can't it will most likely be a take over by someone bigger who can!
