This is an open forum and I will post as I wish, if you don't agree filter me out. I'll not be told what I can and can't do by an anonymous poster on an open forum. Seems that it is OK for ex-CNR's to post negatives about MTL, but we are not allowed to respond.

MTL LTH's do have productive conversations. You see we don't carry long term CNR baggage. Many of us were in MTL pre Darren Bowden. We saw our investments become almost worthless. Darren arrived and turned our fortunes around to the extent that many of us now sit on a multi-bagger. For that reason we can allow Darren the odd mistake because, contrary to many beliefs, Gold mining is a risky business.

You should spend more time researching and less time moaning about DB in my view.

We have drilling results in the last quarterly report if you can be bothered to read it.

My plan is not to sell at a price (say 25p), I will sell on an event such as dividend announcement, which will both increase the price and increase liquidity to sell into.

Last year the Annual Report was released on 19th May, so the latest is due soon. The interim half year report declared an EPS of only 0.52 cents per share, but this included $18,798,365 "Other expenses" which I assume was mostly CNR acquisition costs. As this was a one off we may see a much better EPS declared for the full year. Let's see.

The know it all, we understand the risks better than you do detractors are doing a great job of talking the price down. Meanwhile we have 2 million plus ounces of gold, (maybe up to 5 million ounces), underground that will begin to see the light of day in around six months. I'm pretty sure I know who will have the last laugh here, the patient silent majority who don't spend every day looking for reasons why a successful well managed company might fail.

I get where you are coming from RetiredBanker, but if they had planned to "stiff" us they would have done it when the non-performing loans were taken on by the main shareholders. They could have diluted the ordinaries to nothing, but they didn't, partly because of Darren's opposition. Actually, they don't need to "stiff" us as, due to their low average price they will make a fortune when the company finally sells out anyway.

The last thing we need right now is an acquisition. Usually when an acquisition is announced the share price of the acquirer goes down. We have enough on our plate right now getting La India built and commissioned. I will happily wait until next year for any new non La India announcement.

No need to argue PJ, we can both get along with different points of view.

PJ - We knew months ago 2026 would not be a growth year. True, Darren has had a few setbacks in the past six months and some things have not worked out as we would like. But, I for one will give him the benefit of the doubt as I'm sure he will unlock all of the great potential that lies within La India. Anything else would be a bonus!

As far as I'm concerned, if the risk/reward is not right, we can pull out of the Philippines. As long as the company continues to grow, I don't care where the profits come from. I'm focussed on La India now and, as far as I can see, the potential is enormous. If the company needs to move jurisdictions then so be it. Gold mining in lower tier jurisdictions is a risky business.

Philippines has been such as disaster in that it has:

1) Paid off all MTL debt

2) Funded the acquisition of CNR

3) Funded the build of the new La India mine

4) Will still have cash in the bank when La India goes into production.

If that's a disaster I can't wait to get some success!

Pre-tax Free Cashflow of $30 million a quarter will be absolutely fine for the rest of the year. You don't expect the end of a producing mine to go smoothly.

At a gold price of $4,800/oz, the estimated post-tax Net Present Value (NPV) of the La India Gold Mine project would be approximately $4.34 billion (using a 6% discount rate).

This represents a nearly five-fold increase over the official 2025 base-case NPV, which was calculated at a much lower gold price.

EL - That's true. I'm sure we are drilling the metres that we are legally bound to do according to the agreement. I'm assuming the lab has only been certified within the last few weeks. There is probably a backlog of cores (maybe a years worth), that need to be processed. Personally, first gold is more important to me than drilling results. We all know that we have at least a 5 million ounce district, our priority is production, the reserves will take care of themselves.

Internal studies by MTL in early 2025 suggest an updated mine life of 12.4 years with an average production of 145,000 oz gold per annum. That's 1.8 million ounces. Drilling is ongoing in order to extend the initial pits plus some new target drilling. In addition, according to the previous management, we are "drowning" in targets. So why the impatience about drilling? Surely, we have plenty of confirmed resources, the emphasis now is and should be getting the La India process plant into production on time and on budget.

Outwardly he appears as a narcissistic psychopath who has cognitive decline and/or dementia. Problem is he is so unstable that nobody, except the Pope, dares to challenge him.

Meanwhile the USA trades freely with Nicaragua "U.S. goods trade (exports plus imports) with Nicaragua totaled an estimated $7.4 billion in 2025." If the USA decides not to buy our Gold then, I'm sure China will take it off our hands at market prices.
