there is no rationale for 6,9,12p or whatever “p” on spud. Too many have burned their fingers this way in too many O&G-companies on too many drills. I believe this time around, the (massive) rise will not happen before the results of P-1 are announced. So all these daft, eager speculators buying in to sell at the spud date will be bitterly disappointed. Just IMHO

Saw it like everyone else. But that is not the question here: what if the paradigm has changed from (mindless) positive sentiment to (rational) investments based on actual facts and delivery. Granted 95% of shares on AIM would be doomed, but then again if they have no (economic) reason to exit, why should they?

All I am saying is this: for over a decade I have seen the same behaviour: rise in so towards spud day, then sell come what may. How long is this game
going to last do we think? Nothing lasts forever. This could be the one?....

what is too many punters have lost too much money betting on a rise as you describe. At some point punters will have learned the hard way....what if there will be no rise this time around until the exploration well is a success?

Makes sense, but aren't you forgetting that the company has stated they are looking to buy new producing fields (on the cheap)? Essentially restarting a new O&G company.

I have not been impressed by him. Heard him speak, and felt he had nothing to say that inspired confidence in their business plan. Much better out there. Hope they by some proper assets and bring some good people on board. Time is ticking though...

The RNS is great, and as exactly what you would want for a "new company". O&G is a long term play, and issuing a 5 year plan is exactly what needed to be done. Probably not for the day traders, but far more importantly for the institutional investors who will hopefully start buying on the open market.
