To me it says: If the merger goes ahead as proposed, we intent to buy shares in the new company. Now regardless of whether this is an intent or not, it is a very big deal if they were to buy. They must see reasons that are so compelling to change their strategy....remember they had announced to divest O&G....

Different communication style than LK, but very clear. Maybe a bit more factual, a tad dryer in style, but the content was really good.

The new group has a very interesting and exciting pipeline of projects. Am now def in favour of this merger. The group will be debt free, will attract proper long term institutional investors and the next 12 months look super exciting!!

most OPEC+ countries (those that matter at least), need a lot higher POO to hit b/e. Surely these low POO aren’t going to stay around for much longer.

I think the bigger point you make here is the need to give shareholders reassurance on how P1 will be funded, before the merger gets voted.

The below scenario makes sense, but the company needs to communicate their funding strategy BEFORE the voting on the proposed merger.

I see the funding strategy as a vital missing piece needed for any sane investor to be able to make an informed decision.

2. Or use that 11mn to drill in SWP/WNZ, build up cash and then drill P1?

Rhodi, you make really good points. But isn't it fair too that investors not only want to see the benefit, but also the risk? Each investment decision weighs up both. We only heard from LK about the potential: that is very clear. But we have heard very little about how the well will be funded, we have not heard about the geological COS etc. I think it is fair that investors want to get a view on this too. That's only normal. And we should get this ahead of the vote, otherwise how can investors truly make an informed decision?

I noticed this as well. This is very poor and goes against the story LK made at the interview: "interest between the BOD and the shareholders are aligned". For CERP: "YES", for BPC: "NO".
