Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
One day we will look back on this as such a bizarre experience. PCI-Pal getting all these patents while simultaneously being taken all the way to a judge's decision in violation of someone else's similar patents.
The wildcard in all this is presumably whoever wins the UK case will have to pay the legal costs of the loser. Would be a nice £1-2m back in PCIP's pocket, which perhaps they can invest into further growth.
Is this Sycurio amending the original patent to include the stuff that PCIP argued wasn't there?
And then PCIP will object to this and on we go. Never ending!
But at least interesting that Sycurio seems to acknowledge the weakness in the patent. If that is indeed what is happening here.
Emailed Caseboard to ask what the latest activity means:
We take this information direct from the court file which also list a recent activity date for each date
An example of this would be filings that have been made confidentially (e.g. witness statements etc.), but which we cannot access and so won't be shown on the timeline. This would update the "Last Activity" date even if it looks like nothing has changed publicly.
Is the trial over...? No update posted for anything happening today.
