Just noticed the £43k sell yesterday, that's the biggest I think I've spotted in a while. It doesn't appear to have impacted the price really though, which is a positive. I like how we are holding these levels, hopefully ready for the next jump up with news
Looks positive. The picture is better on the website than the RNS for visualising purposes. Maybe the board believe the reservoirs are larger and cross into the new licence and this will be to keep the majors out; leaving them with no choice but to farm in or buy us out.
The calculations of what’s involved here; both currently and potentially is crazy. We all remember Sound Energy and how they had their meteoric rise (all the way up to £1billion market cap!), but that was mainly based on wind (better words to describe it) from the CEO, hence the current price now. This is as opposed to Char, where the Lixus field - which as a hugely material asset - has the facts behind it, rather than just dreams
I believe we will finish in the blue, maybe around 5% up. I notice there are more faces on here that are trying to talk the share down... Always a positive in its own way as it’s shows the level of interest that is happening here. Nice to see the volume of trades again today too. I’m going to log off and enjoy the lockdown sun!
Last week Ascendent released a news article that they had sold their rights to the to Zinc Sales Royalty of their old El Mochito Mine fit $700,000, which they are using on the current drilling in Lagoa.
Ascendent’s share price seems to be impacted, falling to a 52 week low of “$0.08” but yesterday increased to “$0.10”, this is still a long hold for me.
We are heavily undervalued, even taking into account where we are now - rather than what we will hopefully become. I think the IC mention, as well as the big buys, and price step ups will all play their part in generating more interest. I’m hopeful for farm out details, and I look forward to the SP impact. This is a huge field.
Interesting they had to go down the placing route (last resort). Their share price is now 10c as expected. If the drilling results are positive, which I hope so - then they will really need to actually get proper financial impetus somehow.
What are people’s thoughts regarding when we may hear if there has been a farm in agreement? It sounded positive on the investor presentation, but I don’t want to be sitting here in a years time listening to the same.. possible by end of year?
Good spot Sniffer; I hadn't noticed they had the same Chairman at Ascendant and CEO at Cerrado (Mark Brennan - even the same photo). Stephen Shefsky, Robert Campbell and Kurt Menchen are also on both boards (and again same photos across websites)....
Does anyone have even the vaguest idea re what's going on at Ascendant. Their share price hasn't complete tanked since the e fall in April and actually been relatively stable. They've released nothing to the market about financing (or the change in the deal with MAFL, which I would have thought they would have needed to do). They release investor updates which look very pretty and detailed; but with no actual substance re dates or financing. As I said a number of months ago; I either hope they successfully fund raise and we can crack on, or they admit they can't pay (isn't the next payment $1m, after the 6x monthly $100k's) and JV can sort out with someone else as the prospects look great at LS.
I've read through their new investor presentation (thanks for heads up PR). They still don't mention a few salient points. 1. if there has been any progress with financing, 2. what avenues/work they have been exploring for this financing, 3. they don't note that the deal with MAFL for the latest payment is now $600 due to the 6x 100k monthly payments, 4. they don't mention what they have done to save costs (their management team is big for their size!).
Anyway, maybe there's more going on in the background for them than we are aware of. I'd like them to push this through as we are shareholders in Ascendant too (3% I think. I wish they were on London index then they might keep us a little more updated!
Well, at least we can be sure Ascendant are skint - if they can only pay $100k a month. I see in my notes that the proposed drilling this year is around $1m cost - but I can't find where I got that from as I can't find it in MAFL RNSs or Ascendant's 'News'. Must have been an interview, I shall re-watch.
JV appears to be more forceful in this latest RNS, regarding what's expected and what will happen otherwise. I do hope Ascendant get financing, but I fear that because their next stage payment is not till this time next year they may not feel the requirement to do the 2020 drilling (+ can't afford it) - so LS could be collecting dust this year and into next.
I'm confidently invested in MAFL, and happy for the long term - but if I was in Ascendant I wouldn't be as comfortable! It's a pity we took part payment in shares at the beginning of $800k as I guess they are worth about $300k now. I seem to remember we also bought further shares as well just after that period.
Hopefully Ascendant manage to pull something off, they have a large management team for their size (earning big money I presume!)
