SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Co said on Monday it is not now in talks with Apple Inc on autonomous electric cars, just a month after it confirmed early-stage talks with the tech giant, sending the automaker’s shares skidding. Wiping $3 billion off its market value, Hyundai’s stock slid 6.2%. Shares in its affiliate Kia Corp, which had been tipped in local media reports as the likely operational partner for Apple, tumbled 15% - a $5.5 billion hit.

Proactive interview was excellent, clearly wanting to say a lot more than he could. Some very searching investor questions which were answered.

Added to this a TR1 from an investor who knows investments and has the money to back up his convictions.

From what I can see I don't think we understand how far this company can go. Of course DYOR but keep watching....

It's 30+ and Paul said they were all existing OEMs so there will be some FCA Chrysler models and perhaps Byton. But I have a feeling we will get a couple of others in that time frame yet to be announced in the new EV category.

RFrost, yes I find that amazing. 30+ models in production within 2 years with existing OEMs.
Consider the Qualcomm and Omni Vision tie ups are expected to secure business for 2023, one can only guess how many models we will be in then.
And current RFQs are increasing in numbers (models) and values..... Looking good.

Buffet, I have no idea how material it will be. But once it lands we will have an income stream that none of the brokers have acknowledged in any of their calculations, that has to help.

I would also expect that any new SIMs that L3 build will include the kit as standard. Demand from OEMs is there.
As for the sales potential in retrofit, we'll its substantial as L3H are the 2nd biggest combined Civil and Mission SIM manufacturer.
Most will realise I haven't talked about the other aviation strands which could be equally as big.
Can't see CAE letting L3 away with being the only manufacturer to offer this training facility. So who knows where this could go.

Seems we've been talking about aviation for years now. No doubt Paul regrets the imminent comment.
But we have been talking about aviation to the extent that we have become blaise about it. Bit like Ford, Merc, BMW etc.
Aviation is taking a while but from what I can see nobody even remotely in the space as our competitor.
Don't see anyone else name dropping Emirates, Qantas or FedEx, or have installed their kit in any SIM let alone military or civil.
Aviation mainly didn't even know it needed our tech until relationships were nurtured and built.

Yes L3 deal is taking a while. However I don't think aviation is like auto where they seem obsessed to dual source, so it will come and it'll be a long and profitable ride....... DYOR

Beef, the important thing is to count the fleet connected and the sales (to be connected).
The sales numbers are significant as initial money, the connections will come but each unit only gives $30 plus per month. Significant going forward but I'd be quite happy if the connections have gone up but more significantly the to be connected value increases as well.

Another good day for SEE. Hopefully we get some Qualcomm news. Am not expecting them to name SEE, but an indication of the way forward will make the future clearer. DYOR
