Well we dont know if Bosch have licensed, but they soon will be a chip manufacturer and work with most OEMs in a number of areas in the world.

What impressed me most was the army of professional installation engineers they have trained to install the kit and the 24/7 monitoring system in place to proactively deal with incidents in real time....

Bosch are entering the chip making process, which includes ASIC deployment.....

This is a key step toward the start of production operations, which is scheduled for late 2021. To produce the coveted semiconductor chips, the untreated – or “bare” – wafers are then processed for several weeks. As the application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) in vehicles, for instance, these semiconductors act as the vehicle’s brains. They process the information from sensors and trigger further actions, such as sending a lightning-fast message to the airbag to tell it to deploy.

Biden's push to build chips in the US won't help things now. It takes about 12 to 18 months to build new semiconductor manufacturing capacity, Amon said, and what will end the shortage is capacity that companies are already putting into place.

China issue was to do with IP protection. QC setup protects IP. Seye software could be anywhere in China by now.

Why is JLR now at least 3 years late to SOP as per Viktors note and Seye win apparently?
