Qualcomm is a supplier to both automakers and Tier 1 component makers.

While it aims to aggressively expand into the sector, it’s clear on its priorities and doesn’t want to level up as a Tier 1 in the supply chain, rather it wants to be what Android is to smartphones, i.e. an open platform provider, with qualified software partners, that can serve a large range of applications rather than developing its own software for each system.

Remarkable video on the integration between SEE and Qualcomm - i would be worried if Seye were integrated with QC but being hardware agnostic must mean they don't want too much integration at the hardware level.

Certainly expect Qualcomm to put out news prior to this event. QC should have an idea of what oems will select the Snap 4 /ride platforms.

Just surprised about the timescales that Martin mentioned.
SEE have a roadmap set out which i assume is shorter in execution.

I watched Martins interview with Redeye and was somewhat surprised when he was asked how OMS would play out.
He said most of the rfqs currently are traditional DMS but he expects that to change in say 3 to 5 years. He then says for SOP in a further 3 to 5 years.
Thats a long way out, considering SEE DMS/OMS will be in Fisker (not confirmed for those that need it officially).... SOP end 2022.

How Seye would love to be licensed to Omni and part of the Qualcomm Snap ride and Snap4 stack.

Looks like OMS has already started indeed as S2020 noted, not waiting for 2030.
They paid $65m for a loss making company. Software stack integration should not be underestimated between two disparate companies and of course working and cultural differences (as you pointed out).

Anyway here's to smelly fish not flapjacks!!
