MrBB, Totally agree Seye will raise the finance to keep going. I hope they do, we need a competitor for oems to consider. At present that's Seye, it may change in the future.
David, Our main competitor is Smarteye. Might be worth watching their quarterly updates over the past year with redeye and see how well Martin et al communicate. Its dreadful.
Magna will be showcasing their latest auto tech including their #DMS system from partner @seeingmachines at #CES2023 First mover advantage in driver and occupant monitoring from the rear view mirror. "The automotive landscape is rapidly evolving, and CES allows us to kick off the new year by asserting our prime position in making future-ready solutions a reality,” said Eric Wilds, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. “Magna has a clear vision to create a better world of mobility, and we look forward to joining our stakeholders in discussions and experiences, showcasing how Magna is leading the auto industry in redefining the movement of people and things"
Seize, assume the license will be with avaition equivalent of a T1. The construct may be different in that once a win happens the license with say CAE or Collins means they take on the whole contract, engineering etc. SEE do not stand up an engineering section but license it all out. Alternatively depends who the rfq is with. For example, if its an rfq issued by Collins for an eye tracking system license. And Collins have to go to through the rfq process (although we know there isnt competition), then this is in efffect selling the license to Collins for the domain they have asked for.
S7, Almost all BMW's but they lost them, even the refreshes. Seye investor board are asking where the money is from the 1m cars. Affectiva are asking the same question.
Again makes the point that SEE are fully funded and in the best shape ever. Its this that allows SEE to go after work that otherwise couldn't. So if you had problems with being funded it would affect what you could work on.... What position is 'the other guy in'?
Seem to have gone a bit quiet on Seye's recent win. Can only assume they're waiting for the finances to get sorted.
Apparently Redeye believe Seye will run out of cash sometime in January. Five weeks to go. Hopefully they get something sorted. It's important that the OEMs have choices to make between T2's, at least for the bigger contracts.
