Dan seems chuffed over on his Linked-In page & supported by his cohorts suggesting balance is on the side of growth & profits.

Question is can the Debenhams online platform deliver the growth strategy? I think the needle on the gauge is still in the middle & the baggage is the Boohoo style of management in the back seat. Dan's driving the wagon but old Mahmud is giving directions. A back seat driver on a stage coach will confuse the horse, so as to avoid pat pie on the face, Dan will need both hands both hands on the reigns. Spring needs to show accelerated growth otherwise BFD will need to look at his book "Reasons to be cheerful".

Expectations do seem to outpace reality. Reality being that cash generation is only keeping pace with expenses & revenues are still falling. If the SP reached 30p I think many would exit if brand performance was not delivering. The cash raise was not large enough, £100M would have been more acceptable. Price range for this share at this moment is 14p to 21p & more likely to drop next week. Worth buying on the red days.

£1.3M to do a fundraise? Must have given out some nifty travel luggage.

Nice to see the SP do a dipper. Down 16% then up 7%. Some smart chart tracker could have made 23% profit in just two days. Hindsight is wonderful & a high stakes gamble win is a rarity. Euphoria should be over by Monday & all will then focus on the trading update expecting fabulous numbers except SCB whom may be right.

Some companies Do Ave 'em & this one certainly does. But lets ignore the obvious flaws on this outfit as we know the stitching isn't so great - just look at recent communications - profits up across the brands followed by a cash raise to speed up the recovery & in the scheme of things £35m is not much. With the End of Covid as a start point, the story has been one of recovery to bring back a profit bearing business & it is slow as they were carrying a lot of dead weight. Still needs a long runway to take off & if the passengers are the shareholders, well they can watch their baggage of shares go round the carousel until they can figure out the penalties for removing them. Still this is a rocket ship for luna share & will blast into orbit once the right engine is fitted. Until then, expect some mis-fires & oil spills as Mahmud ain't no rocket technician.

Eh lad, you seem them hills in the distance, well I walked them all & I am now at the bottom of valley. The drones keep passing by, dropping their little messages like an RNS from Boohoo Shareholder relations & nearly each one gives me the urge to find another level down. At this rate I'd be taking up potholing & may end up near to where I wanted to get off. Mind you, there is a risk of drowning as the water levels are quite high this time of year.

I think the short term lease idea would only apply if there was a delay in the transfer of operations. Essentially when a move is initiated, the warehouse is cleared & there is nothing that could be used other than temporary storage if that were needed.

A good space for a rave, high octane spirit clubbing, spiked drinks & hallucinates - A bit like Schroders after works party.

Still has a Boohoo feel to it - don't cry, dress would have gone to landfill eventually. Best it got there before it was delivered.
