Funny thing about weapons of war is that when you have used yours, then they use theirs & while it may be a good idea for radicals to pursue, all those that get caught in the middle have to put all the broken bits back together again. DEBS holds around 27% of shares in REVB at a purchase price of around 24p from memory. Now REVB is below 3pps. It would seem that a takeover of REVB would be a good move. LinkedIn presentation is very glossy & states what the management have been up to. Don't need the hard work on the presentations, just need basic operations to function & deliver so as to increase customer happiness then put the customers in a presentation - worth gold is that.

Optimistic - Business recovery plan is in full effect reducing costs & increasing profits but has limit cash flow.

Critical - Company very much in the early recovery stage from the near collapse of the group. Asset disposal, staff cuts, expansion plans deleted, rescue plan built on the back of suppliers, man in charge seeks flower shows & horse racing events to promote himself. Customer experience on all brands hides the truth on how the group delivers to the profit givers.

Shareholders are spread on the alter of sacrifice with hot candles tied to each appendage. Still many have good faith & can take the wine but whine they do.

Trading update - the Sun done it's best. Dan is off to find the Easter Eggs - probably will drop an RNS in May.

A loss is simply that - meaning its gone, like a magic trick, a sink hole or a flushed loo. You ain't getting your jobbies back.

From a 2025/2026 perspective, DEBS may appear to be encouraging profit but as for revenue & growth it would appear to be very weak if not unreliable. Question be, are more flushes to come & is an investment now going to pay out considering strong headwinds.

Despite the negatives, I'm actively looking for the positives. All the recent news on a return to profits doesn't cut into the huge losses of recent years & a trend or move towards full recovery to 2019 levels is looking unlikely if not impossible. Remove the history of the group & yes they are doing very well (so we think).

PLT appears to offer plenty of beige for slim white women. Catalogue must have been originated in that country next to India where there is an abundance of beige fabric. Certainly requires a more risk taking approach to PLT offerings.

Counterfeit goods must have a detrimental impact on companies like Debenhams. True impact assessment would run into hundreds of millions & is one big reason why revenue is falling.

If there is money to be made it would attract an unstoppable flow of interest - GENI would be best placed as a takeover target if anything. Until then just another clinical manufacturer offering test kits to clinicians.

Since your on DEBS, Debenhams is currently involved in retailing products that have undergone clinical trials, such as Ferrocalm gut health products and Imedeen skincare, rather than conducting direct medical trials. Consensus here appears to be that the SP will fall & I'm happy to agree. A five year succession of bad leadership & decision making can't change the course their on. Dan is just clinging on to a hope he will get a fat wedge pay off. Too many bad customer experiences, too many cuts to the business & a PT on suppliers. Comms to public, staff & investors is poor & its run by an elite circle of buddies (Chums).
