I suspect there will be a number of bullet points on the next RNS, the FO being one of them. We have a fully funded hole to drill in Q1 which will probably raise the SP twice as high as the FO, and the 3D on YG project will herald the next phase of that project too. Lots to play for, multi-bag prospects in the pipeline and the word "transformational" is still ringing in my ears. The next 12-16 weeks will deliver Winx, which if successful will remove all future funding worries, although if the FO is a good 'un those worries could be behind us within days.

Yet, to quote you once more.... "Brombarb for a man claiming to post facts shame on you" - is that not a personal attack ?

Brombarb has a reputation for putting people straight, by pointing them in the direction where they can look up the facts for themselves - most take this with good grace. Many airheads prefer to make obscure claims instead (far less time consuming than sifting through evidence), others tend to be deliberate in their mischief-making - only you know which cap fits.

Newanda, I did not mean to suggest the last year was a waste of time, far from it. I meant that 3 years ago I'd expected we would be where we are a year ago. I've learnt more about the exploration business in general, since then - and Alaskan exploration in particular. We were not geared for parallel projects a few years back, but by entering into partnership deals, DW has put us there. So with multiple projects now underway, progress will be swifter in the next couple of years. I now see that the drilling phases of exploration can only take place in winter (unless the company is clever enough to secure a "hard-base" alongside the Dalton Highway). Of course, there is lots of work going on in the background for 360 days a year, but those background jobs do not affect the SP until the day results are announced. The consolation prize is that over the next 5/6 months several such announcements are due - and a couple are imminent - so the wait is almost over.

It does feel like we've lost a year, somewhere along the journey - but that is the nature of small exploration companies. For 4 years we've only been able to handle one project at a time, but 2019 could be the year when Winx, Yukon and HRZ get moving. The frustrating thing is that we are still waiting for news on the FO which could affect the last two. I would be surprised if we get no news before the Friday before Christmas, so only 8 more days at most (but hoping for news this week).
I expect such news will put some energy into the SP, and may get us close to 2p by the Winx spud. Beyond that will depend on the flow test, plus the other two projects.

We only have 10 more real "announcement days" this side of Christmas, so my guess is that DW will keep most of his powder dry until the New Year. We might get a few sparklers and a revised timetable, just to manage expectations but the big news timetable is governed by events we cannot control - like a Tier 1 project plan, or the Alaskan weather.
The time has come to pull up the shutters for a few weeks and stop fretting - our resources have been in place for millions of years, the valuation of them is becoming more focussed as the months roll by, but a few weeks here or there makes no difference in general investment terms. I appreciate that some individuals may be overstretched, but that was a personal choice, and carries a personal risk - however in general investment terms we are pretty much in the same position as we have been for months pending the conclusion of long-running negotiations together with the spudding of Winx. It is on it's way, but not there yet.

I don't normally see your stuff but was logged out. You seem to have eased back on the volume of postings for a while - might take you off my list when we get over 5p, if it stays that way.
As for the relevance of PoO on the SP - can't fault the reasoning, but if the market thinks it relevant, then it is. Not much of a trader myself, I know my limits, patience is a good counter-balance though.

The gas has been mentioned, but in a catalystic context - namely, to be stored and used to maintain pressure needed to keep those volatile oils flowing through the rock. I suspect that the natural gas output requires no additional effort beyond that of oil production -at least, not until it reaches the surface. We will have moved on by the time gas production comes into focus.

3d analysis will be done by now - so there is a strategic reason why it's not been published. Could be that the FO has been expanded to take on extra drilling. We will be told when the deal is done - the overhang will be gone in 3-4 days if the news is big enough. Only 2 more Fridays by Christmas.

The point is DW's project timetable needs to be as flexible as my Christmas present list.

Cjml, the words are appropriate - Alaska is not a place where weather runs to a strict timetable - winter length and temperatures can render the season to be as short as 80 days or as long as 200 days. Been watching your advert for a deep fat fryer but may go for the mop instead.

Regardless of FO, we still have 3D analysis & estimates to come, Winx road building due anyday soon but the bidding tie may have had a knock-on affect to Yukon Rns - fact is, the next announcement will probably kick-start disposal of overhang shares for a couple of weeks, so we're still in the long game.

I think he mentioned it in the vaxmarket interview with Justin W. too.

Some would say that a "no deal" in the next few weeks spells disaster, but my view is that an FO by Christmas will be great, but an FO in Feb/ Mar would be stupendous!
