Now that the 500m shares are in the pipe, the sooner they start to trickle them into the market, the sooner we'll get over the hump. If our FO partner and BoD have taken them we shouls see SP back on the up trend next week else if a soph-inv, it will take at least a couple more weeks to get back to yesterdays level.

I think the point of the RI is that DW could say to the FO partner "l'd like to do a deal now, but don't think you have me over a barrel - it will take longer, but we can go it alone on Winx1, and if successful we will not need to give away as much next time, to you or whoever else may be around at that time". I wondered whether after the partial take-up, the FO partner took a "we've got you over a barrel now" stance..... In which case DW would have been forced to call their bluff and pursue the balance of the RI.
I'm only speculating here, only the inner sanctum knows the score. Fortitude and thick skin is mandatory but there are a few reptiles around who shed theirs with predictable regularity.

I think a swift deal involving up front cash and maybe some long term royalties is more likely. Then we can get on with proving the shale play.

Personally I’m a believer in NS unconventional, however, conventional is a lower hanging fruit and ripe for early picking - so less to prove and earlier to market.

We did not shut down last year, only one of our projects got shut-in for winter - being a fraccing project, copious amounts of water is either being pumped down the hole or is being extracted during the early stages. As most people on this bb realise, at 30 degrees below freezing, water does not flow through pipes very easily, therefore companies tend to mothball such projects over winter, as having to pump hot water into the pipes is a rather expensive option.
The winter "drilling season" kicks off in Dec/Jan once the soggy Tundra freezes over and can support the weight of vehicles required to transport the heavy gear required. Being "temperature oriented" the start of the season is more dependent on the thermometer than the calendar, so project schedules / dates tend to be approximate.

Plus 665k on Chi holding at 2c (0%). No-one is selling anything of substance only half a dozen trades covers 1.6m shares.

There is a place in Alaska called Wales, but as I look out from Nant-y-Gwyddel across the Valley towards Rhigos, and not a Caribou in sight, I think how little thought went into creating unique place names in the USA.

A few months back, I did ask DW about the possibility of selling off a chunk of the business, and paying out an extraordinary (1-off) dividend maybe half to us (e.g. 30p/share), and plough the rest into the business - the answer "unlikely" - but he does tend to under promise, so YGIAGAM..

JH, we are no longer a single entity (88e), we can spin off our subsidiaries (Captivate or Accumulate Energy) and nothing to stop DW creating others (like 88e Oil, 88e Gas, 88e Shale).
