SBrown, last time we had a "rights issue" type of deal, the surplus shares (above the basic offer) were pro rata'd.
- so say they only had 2/3rd of the shares necessary to satisfy all applicants, we'd all get 2/3rds of our individual "Requested Extras". A refund of unused cash will then be made by the broker (when they get around to it - I believe most got their refund within a week, some longer.

DW is already in the Top20 stakeholders - I think he's aiming for the Top10.

The only unsealed well we have (Ice2) has been shut in for months - so Neil, where is this secret well to which you refer? You obviously have the ear of DW to know such stuff, do tell, oh favoured one.

DW said on the podcast that he would be putting in "pretty much all" of his post-tax salary since this venture began - I took the mention of A$750 as a ball park figure (he gets paid in Australian dollars, lest there be confusion over currency). Whichever way you look at it, in terms of salary, he's got almost as much at stake as me (except I did not get the options) - so we are in the same boat - fortunately we have an ample supply of fuel oil, and four engines (or "prow-jects" as he likes to call them).
It is risky, but with 3 levels of back-up!

Jock, et al. I can't understand why you don't get it, so much discussion of late on this subject.
If you were looking for a Ford Fiesta and a garage 30 miles away offered a 10% discount, all you need to do is go into the local dealership and they'd probably match it, or come close.
The MMs want to make a living, so they have had to bring down the market share price to the same ball park as the RI price, else they won't be able to pay the bar tab at the end of month. No matter what discount DW gave, the market would drop to it. What I find hard to understand is why people are selling - unless of course they have a bar tab or credit card to pay off too!

The fact is, it was not a disaster or a duster as some gloom merchants declare, but it was not a 100%, gone to plan success. The good news is that they now know that the gas in the lower HRZ interferes with the upper zone flow rate - so next time the chance of success is greatly improved. If the FO goes to a Tier 1 operator, then we will know that they think so as well - that should trigger a spike, and we should settle at least one more rung up the ladder. Before that, of course, we have the conventional FO, which will put us up another rung. Probably followed by a couple more rungs after Winx flow test - going to be a fast ride, especially compared to the last 6 months.

I realise that Starcom may not want to publish order values, especially if Bosch, Harley, etc., are initially buying small quantities on a "see how we go" basis - but surely they have some indication of proposed volumes, even if there are caveats imposed by the purchaser. It would be very confidence building to know their intentions, and to understand what the production implications are. The information drought is causing SP seepage.

Interesting that the sum of all trades (375k) is not the same as The Buys+Sells (675k).

With sp now pushing above 1p, the volumes may slow down - unless those ineligible for the RI get a bit desperate for shares before the RI process closes.

I hope it did not come across as being critical of Bothwell. Given sufficient readies, I'd go for a full quota of RI shares, then divide my residual cash by two spending half on picking up surplus 1`p RI shares and the rest on shares on the open market (up to 1p). The broker fee is negligible if spending more than say £500 - but it takes out the uncertainty of "how many surplus RI shares will I get?" and removes the risk that the sp will leap the moment it is known that "all shares have been allocated". Nothing wrong with spreading the risk.

So Bothwell bought 399,609 shares for £4k including £23.90 commission (2×£11.95).
Although he forfeited 400 shares they are securely "in the bag".

No tried to buy any shares lately, but doubt anyone could buy more than 500k per day let alone 100m - the liquidity is just not there. And if anyone thinks that DW could do it via the RI, then he would have to already own 700m. If only !

Agree with Brom, a full take-up it is a great boost to the company, being tangible evidence of investor support. More power to DW's elbow when negotiating to know that he can count on SH support and if the 3rd party knows it too, then so much the better.
