After the razamataz, myself and 2 of my techies were taken aside by a couple of sales reps I remember sitting in a comfy chair and suddenly waking up. I appologised for nodding off and said I'd been working straight for 36 hours before driving there. One of the guys said "yes, your colleagues explained you've been commissioning a mainframe and had probs with power supply and aircon, blah, blah" - when driving back they would not tell me how long I'd been out - just that they were embarrased at my snoring. Will never forget the day, just the content.

Exactly, for all we know Exxon and C-P are each doing due dilligence prior to a joint bid for a 60% stake in conventional and 40 % in HRZ - or maybe Sandra Meaden and Peter Jones are wanting 80% of the business between them - we can only speculate. Not only has the fat lady not sung yet, but the opera has yet to be chosen.

Good point. If we have a Tier1 outfit, they might be calling the shots - after all, they would not be used to having "the tail wagging the dog". DW might have his hands tied - no doubt that's why he said that he would give a tier1 "more time".

Aquagold, we have billions of barrels of fluid within our acreage. Some is proven to be oil, the rest based on 3D seismic is probably oil. Even if that turns out yo be 75% true we still have billions. With Tesco charging over £1 per litre, surely a barrel will get us at least £2 which puts an absolute minimum of £4bn on the value of this company. We just need to drill a dozen wells to show the industry that it can be retrieved commercially (does not even have to be an optimised flow rate, just a commercial flow rate). Then there's Winx and Yukon both potential moneyspinners in their own right. Sadly weather in Alaska can slow things down by 50% so we need patience.

Wednesday in Oz equates to Tuesday evening here in UK (could tonight be the night?). Brinkmanship being employed could mean 31st Dec in Oz ( or 11pm on 30th in UK ).

Quite. Round and round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows. There are very few absolute dates goven by DW - too many variables beyond his control. For all we know the lawyers have been arguing over the small print for 3 weeks - Broilit ! Treat all dates as ball-park targets and cut out the anguish.

Very good point AIM4 - very true for a regular ISA.
If it is a flexible ISA and £27 had been withdrawn in the current tax year, it can be "paid back" in addition to the 20K allowance. Not many companies offer the Flexi-Isa though - so chances are, you are correct.

128k, the way I understand it works with HL is that they arrange with a broker to do an "instantaneous switchover" - the idea being that the difference between buy & sell price is minimised. Because it is done as a "dual transaction", we don't know whether they buy first and sell a few seconds later or vice versa - it probably depends on whether they are doing a single Bed & Isa or a block of several B&I's. This would explain why they require a few days to Implement a B&I and only charge for a single transaction, not a double. To quote HL "We'll aim to place your first deal as soon as possible - usually within four working days of receipt" - this suggests they like to "pick their moment", probably when the market is not too volatile and the spread is small.
As for the recorded sequence of transactions - we know that there are often delays in reporting spanning several days, let alone minutes - so no surprises there.
