Clear as mud. I simply wanted to know "what question did you put to DW, that he failed to answer?"
Maybe someone else has put the same question in the past, and can supply the answer.

There is no way you will get an answer on that type of question. If the answer is likely to affect the sp, then it is against the rules which ensure no individual PI gets the drop on the rest of the market.
The best you could have got is "eveything is going according to our published schedule" - but as DW's reputation is to keep fairly close to the published schedule, it goes without saying. So he doesn't.

I would think SAE would need authorisation from the landowner (SOA) rather than the leasee (88e) but I'd have thought that all parties might get letter or email from SOA out of courtesy.
As for shares in UK & USA, what does BP do about it? (rhetorical).

DYOR, I would find it useful if you could state the timestamp where Brombarb predicted the sp, and what value he placed on it - i've looked but cannot find.

The "fuss" is marginal @ +5.99%, but at least it is positive fuss. We just need a bit more of it.... 2-4 weeks and the hardware gets delivered so hope to see an even bigger fuss about that. One step at a time and we'll be back to 4p before Q2 starts.

I hope we'll see 50M+ turned over today - and for the next 10-15 days. That will swallow much of the hangover from the surplus share. Assuming volume goes up similarly on ASX, it will be closer to 10 than 15 days, but the level needs to hold. Although the news was expected, every bit of re-assurance is needed to overcome the festering doubts in some PI's minds. At least we are insulated from Brexit.

CJML, I think you've missed the boat for 1.06, sellers seem to be holding out for 1.1 to 1.15 at present. In 6 weeks I think we'll be looking at 2p+, but beyond that we'll have news on Flow Test, but the joker in the pack is the FO, that could break anytime in Q1 - but if it comes shortly before the FT, it will amplify the effect on the sp.

Tend to agree that 20-30M shares a day is nothing. We need to see 120-150M to clear the overhang. Every time it touches 1.12+ someone dumps 10M of their 1p shares which drops us back to 1.1 again. Shares need to be bought faster than can be sold - that's what supply and demand laws dictate. Until then it is going to languish at this level. Once gear starts getting delivered things should speed up a little, but flow test or FO will see the biggest leaps in sp.

If all parties at Pt Thompson got their heads together when it comes to putting holes in the ground, to prove up the resources, it could be beneficial. Instead of each picking a "sweet spot", the strategy to mark out the extremities of the reservoir as a whole, could mean less holes in a shorter time - and if Exxon will bankroll the scheme, many holes could be drilled in parallel. That would give the sp a lift.
As for the quarterly report, it will contain details up to December, so if DW does put anything in it relating to FO, I doubt it will have any news relating to January (but we can hope).

D45, best read the RNS's to get the answer you seek. Lots of news due this quarter but we are not even 2 weeks into it at present. My personal opinion is that the FO deal will happen just after Winx spudding -but I don't know what affect progress on other events may have on the project plan. DW is hisbown man, so won't be goaded - it will be when it will be.

We have leases, we do not own the land. SOA can give permits and rights of access over their land, in addition to what we have - but if a neighbour discovers oil which extends under our lease, they have to pay a royalty for it. That could even be money for nothing - i.e. no drilling costs, just continue to pay for the leases. If we have a road and they want to use it we can probably split the cost, and if they want a pipeline, we can probably come to some arrangement too. Every little helps. Bargaining chips can be handy, but only if you engage in the game..

A rise to a balmy -15c next weekend coupled with light winds will help with the road construction, then back down to -26c should firm things up for the low-loaders to deliver the rig and accommodation pods.
I saw Lefty's point about buying in Nov, and selling in Apr, before logged in. I might try that on a few shares, not sure it would be wise with 88e though, as being an "explorer", the market follows discovery "result milestones" rather than the calendar. Worth checking out though.

Coal gas was a bye product of coke making which itself was a bye product of the Iron and Steel industry.
Not unlike fractionating oil. When the coal is burning white heat, pump steam into it and the hydrocarbons and water break down into H2, CH4, CO, and Carbon (coke). Other gasses and solids are also produced but coal gas is a mixture of those 3 inflammable gasses. When the temperature drops air is blown into the furnace instead of steam until it gets to white heat again, then steam is switched on again and air turned off. Rinse and repeat, topping up with coal & water as you go. The mix is toxic and the process dirty - but it drove the industrial revolution and lit the street lamps.

Moneyhawk, it is not the amount of energy needed that quashes the idea of an H2O engine - it is the cost of that energy. Windfarms can provide the energy - except they produce intermittently.

I see the oil/electric debate kicked off earlier. Before my first of a dozen computers existed, I used a ball point pen - 95% oil based, including the ink - and the metal bits were made with gas fired furnaces. Every keyboard probably contains more hydrocarbon compounds than every ball point pen I ever owned - let alone the screens, printers and dvd's that plug into them. I'm waiting for someone to invent a wooden computer, but they just can't get the trees.

A drilling plan by the FO partner is hardly of concern here, what we need is the "up-front" cash - the timetable is theirs to worry about, not 88e. We can then pursue (with cash in hand) our own agenda regarding HRZ, Winx or Yukon (or elsewhere). If there is insufficient up-front cash then we'll go elsewhere.
