Pat, you could be right about the FO, but I think you are 2 weeks premature.
I would not be surprised to know that there are 2 FO contracts sitting on DW's desk.
One says "If Winx does this.........."
The Other says "If Winx does that......"
My guess (yes it's all guesswork on this BB) is that the FO will be announced after the wire logging, probably after the flow test (though maybe before the full results are published).
The big question is will it be before I can top up my ISA for next year?

If Chartman gets his wish for 1.4 then this will fly next week.
I think we are in the death throes of the overhang from the last CR, from Broms meticulous records we have turned over about 3.5Bn shares since the CR so if those 1p shares have been slowly trickling into the market at between 10-20% of the avg daily churn, then we are either done, or close enough to clearing them that the next decent RNS will flush away the dregs.
Getting to 1.4 (though not a 20 minute spike) will be confirmation for me.
Looks like some money is moving back from RMP today (a sniff of FO will do that).
Who'd wanna be out of this over the weekend?

I hope DW holds off news until mid-next week. We shifted 60m shares again today (so far) so if the overhang is the cause of our 1.2p sp, then I'd prefer to see that cache be cleared before the next news. If it is not, it will just suppress the effect of any RNS . Under 25% of daily volume relates to clearance of shares taken up by Sophisticated Investors so it can take months for them to disperse and make their proverbial 20% profit. There again 87.35% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Ladychart-early in the day to be raising the subject of cesspits. Jiddy was just probing to see whether you were related to 128k. You could say he was going through the motions.
There were about 400m trades yesterday (inc Asx) but the sp is still holding at 1.2ish. I think we still have SI's offloading from the last CR...... but there can't be a lot remaining by now. Until they are done we will not progress with the sp - or taking a different perspective, when we get to 1.4p I'll be convinced the overhang is gone so that any future good news will be unsurpressed. This could be as short as a few days away or as long as 9 days (imo) as I expect activity to increase as we get closer to flow test decisions (best of 4 targets?). How high will it go depends as much on emotion as factual results but a good flow could take us above 3p and a good FO will add 50-200% on top. Feeling confident that DW will get his bonus before H2.

Got the impression he's taking a breather after the frustrations of the last 9 months. Many of us are holding despite being under water so talking though a snorkel puts a strain on communication. I need 2.3p to be back in the blue - it is almost within arms length. Once we have some cash in the bank, we may never need to bring out the diving gear again.

If we keep this volume up for the rest of the week (& Asx follows suit) we'll clear the overhang and break the 1.2p ceiling.

No way would I stand to be described as a shameless ramper, shamefull maybe.

Looks like some resident rainbow chasers are selling up in RMP and moving back into 88e.
The mischievous thrill of last Friday is giving way to the fact that RMP is essentially a one-trick pony, but 88e has an imminent FO deal as well as the Winx venture, followed by another potential FO deal covering the HRZ (yes we have Yukon Gold too, but it may not be material until next year).
The progress on Winx and the FO deal has just over 3 weeks to reveal their respective secrets, so this is no time to be wandering off. Beyond Q1, there will no doubt be talks behind closed doors regarding the future of Winx1, how to deploy the cash from the FO, which might facilitate the re-opening of Icewine for a lateral assault - which could materially affect the HRZ deal. As is often said, it takes money to make money - hopefully, in a few weeks we will have enough of it to make some serious multi-directional, curve-creaming plans.

Not only does he (and we) need 3p - but it has to be so over a sustained period (60days, I think?).
That Friday tweet did some short to medium term damage as without it we could have touched 2p this week - but now..... who knows? The flow test will be definitive, but the flow calculations may take some time beyond the actual test, possibly beyond the well closure. We might even get the FO announcement before the results, patience deeded for a while yet.

Nanushuk or Torok would bring us prosperity, but both would be a bonus.
I long for the day our sp gets beyond 5p, at which time we will lose the predatory trolls who patrol our bridges - sadly too many fell for the illicit tweet last week (as per my earlier posting). Not sure who I blame more, the tweeter or the reactors who fell for it, and dragged us down. Well it's cost them a packet if they've tried to buy back today, so their education has been paid for by us all. We will ultimately get to the correct level, but those of a nervous disposition are causing us to go via the slow route - yet they are the ones who complain about slow progress and poor management rather that looking closer to home.
The 50m trades today would have done them more good if we'd not been climbing out of a trench of their own making.

Beware false prophets. Art123 and his fellow sofa dwellers delight in wrenching shares from the gullable and jittery - people who should probably not be here in the first place. Friday RNS was probably forced by that illegitimate tweet and because it was addressed prior to reaching the target area, the official position could only reflect that fact. We have now reached the "pay zone" and early indications are supportive of our aspirations - sadly we now have to climb out of the slump caused by the mischief makers before we continue with the ascent. The sooner the weak-willed are culled by the trolls, the sooner the trolls will migrate to richer feeding grounds.

Well, in 90 minutes we may get the first of many significant bulletins (I hope). Someone mentioned 3p - would not be a bad kick-off.

Because Otto only has a 15 % interest and Winx is a very small part of its portfolio (a fraction of a fraction). This turbulence is only a gnat-bite to them.

I'm not saying that DW would stoop so low, but there are some who would release poor news on a Friday and good news on a Monday. Unfortunately traders who bailed today, may not be able to get in before the sp rises on Monday - because ASX might have its TH lifted, which would sent the SP soaring Down Under, maybe even starting at 2p on LSE on Monday. No, he wouldn't, would he. Think of all the upset it would cause, think of those poor traders who sit humbly on the sideline without a single thought of gloating amongst them. No it is unthinkable. :-)

By Monday, the fat lady will be finishing the Chorus and into verse 2 - so no point speculating until she shatters the crystal vase at the finale.
As for the hole, others have drilled these leases and walked away - so why the surprise that the upper targets have little to interest us by way of high volume, high quality HC's? Next week we will get news of the stuff others have missed/ignored -THAT is the interesting zone. I can smell the blue touch paper smouldering from here !

Sorry if it has already been pointed out (not going through 400 posts) - but RMP has fallen twice as far as 88e, yet we have 2 "price monitoring" RNS's and RMP has none.

It is only because they went vertical that they now know at what depth to go horizontal next time they drill.
The vertical (the cheaper of the 2 options) has made it clear that the upper HRZ has oil, and the lower has gas - had they gone horizontal the different properties in the HRZ would still be unknown, and it would have cost more not to know it.

It may be borderline commercial for us, but if our neighbour has a commercial lease which pays for all the infrastructure required, our lease would be very attractive. A bit like sharing a taxi - what seems expensive o your own becomes affordable if shared. Also, the well is not complete yet - next week we will have the full picture.
