Would be nice to hit $70+ by the FO and HRZ announcements.

Usual practise would be to decide when to release news, then sign contract the day before - last party to sign just after market close. I'd be surprised if those dates had not been decided by end of Q1 - along with all the principal terms. At that point the lawyers will carve them in stone - but without a completion date lawyers can start to take liberties so there has to be a completion date to ensure the contract is ready when all parties are available to sign. Not unlike a chain of home buyers completing on the same day.

If DW walks away he will have good reason - he is a good negotiator and has got a few good deals for us from rig contracts, bargain price seismics, andlow cost leases - what's your track record like?

At least DW won't have to include the FO deal in the Q1 report. He's got enough on his plate this April.

What drives the sp is sentiment, anticipation, and inaccurate projections - facts would be taking us up, so clearly have no bearing. :-)

wjmf, this is not a binary risk, even if the Tier1 pulls out, DW can go back to previous bidders - therfore the Tier1 can only negotiate down as far as DW's tolerance level allows. This is more to do with "shades of grey" (no not the film).
Less than 2 weeks to go (imo).

DW is in the top20 shareholders, but if he takes up all his options I think he'll get into the top10.
Now that Q1 is past, assuming it is the only announcement to come before the AGM, I cannot see it will arrive next week.
If however the HRZ news is to hit our screens before the AGM, then we could get news next week and the week after.
Because the FO will need to fund any HRZ drilling, I think it will come first as the HRZ impact will be more pertinent if we already know the funding will be in place. However, WDIK must be taken into account.
As for the affect on the sp, I suspect the two bits of news will mean sp*3 & sp*2 respectively, so I'm hoping the FOMO effect will kick off towards the end of next week so taking us above 1p, before the first RNS. Wishful thinking? Maybe.

Just been given the beta version of new LSE Site - it is a bit anemic (white) - so will definately glow in the dark. Probably get the wife complaining next winter (but ok at present (BST)as the mornings are light anyway).

Once we have a good JV in the bag, we should see a lot more II interest.

Hope to see a bit better than 3p, but only 11 trading days left before the AGM- though I suspect DW will not release news on the last day (he may want time to check out the mood of investors before the meeting).

We have 3 more Fridays before the AGM, and the first of those starts In Australia in a couple of hours. Will we have an announcement later? or will it be some other day in the next 2 weeks? Very few know, and they're not telling !

So many think negotiations are about them making money by a certain date. DW has an influence on the completion date insomuch as he has set a TARGET date. He made it clear that if a major player wanted more time, he would allow it.
By now he would have stated his terms and the Big Boy would have agreed the main principles - but Big Boys have budgets, plans, timetables and COMMITTEES - probably one for budget, one for plans, etc.
Hopefully, they sit more frequently than monthly, and I am sure we will get some further detail (if not Final detail) before the AGM. Above all, this is a negotiation which involves multiple parties, including Bex, accountants, solicitors and maybe others. The fat lady may have left her dressing room, but is she even on the stage, yet?

Zoom, there is no deadline - just a target date. It is likely (imo) that we will get a formal announcement before the 15th Apr - but not certain. The contract will have several signatories.

Wassie, too much alcohol to be doing calcs. A 100% loss means our shares would be worth zero.

My old firm made The Prisoner at Elstree Studios & location work at Port Meirion - there was talk of P McG taking on Bond for a while, but he moved to the States. D45, it will occur when people who are not invested become fearful of missing out. You should ask people to let you know when they intend to become fearful, then having collated the results, publish them here so we can all debate the conclusions.

Common sense says that over a reasonable period (say 3 days) the sells and buys must balance out. So when I see say 2-3 says of overwhelming sells or buys, I suspect manipulation.
Take current bid:ask (0.75:0.85) if shares change hands at .785 & .81 for 1m shares, MMs make 0.025 x 1m=2500p.
If they change hands at .75 & .79 MMs make .04 x 1m= 4000p. So they make £15 more AND because both transactions are below the avg sp it looks like 2 consecutive sells ( a few of these in succession can cause a landslide by simple manipulation). First impressions can be deceptive!

The MMs play around with the numbers during the day, but mostly end the day where it started - self serving manipulation to generate some sales commission. Some parasites are necessary - but when they irritate do not scratch.

Like I've said, I've forgotten the details, but fundamentally, if it's a good bonus day for DW, then it's a good day for my holding too but (if you'll pardon the expression) I don't have to keep it up for 60 days. .
