About 1-2 months ago, the SP was about triple the current one because there were different interested parties for the airline side of the business. Thomas Cook was not so desperate as to be open to an offer involving massive dilution (i.e. Fosun's).
Now, whilst we do not have an official offer, we have a very rich man, who made his money in travel and had problem getting planes for his business last year, and has a business registered in Germany (allowing him to be majority owner of an EU airline, unlike Fosun), who bought a few million GBP of shares to an extent that his name was splattered on the travel trade press of the UK, Turkey and Germany (IIRC).
You make your own conclusions.
Again, Neset K may have a more convoluted plan in mind, but I suspect he is pushing to have enough control of TCG to make the sale of the airline which is profitable with the current debt levels to him.
