Anex had airline issues a year ago (see below). I don't how long term the solutions found were, but it would make sense acquiring the airline. And Anex is a GmbH so that would fulfil EU laws on ownership of European carriers.

One of the stakeholders, a Turkish businessman who's made his fortune in the travel industry, has built a stake above 6%.

One theory on the BB is that he is pressuring Fosun to make a higher offer, or I suspect that he will make one through his ANEX group.

The theory that ESET KOCKAR is trying to force an offer or speed up the proceedings, albeit speculative, makes a lot of sense. He is a savvy air travel / holidays operator and businessman.

I expect genuine excitment in the days to come.

Based on my VERY LIMITED understanding of the administrative case, yes.

IIRC (somebody feel free to correct me if you know better), the consortium filed the appeal, and the council confirmed its intention to respond, thus setting a date for the hearing and the decision...

The adjudicating body could decide to stick to the timings and listen to the oil consortium first if it believes it's in the interest of the fair but also reasonable (costwise) administration of justice (I don't know the right phrase for that type of tribunal), or under that same principle it could decide to make an early decision due to NCL official decision to withdraw.

shareaction - it's typical "court/tribunal speak".

"Submitting evidence" has become a paraphrase for an appeal stage in many types of proceedings, especially in front of part-judicial part-administrative tribunals.

It means that it is the stage when a party can submit evidence to support the arguments that it submitted at an earlier stage. It does not mean that NCL had actual evidence.

In any case, the subsequent phrase " will withdraw its case in respect of this appeal subject to the agreement of acceptable planning conditions." makes things extra clear: it will drop its appeal.

Assuming it was genuine, nothing was ever released.
PVF was supposed to have started work in Spring 2018 then complete silence, except for Simon's e-mails to some PIs saying that PVF needed a part that had to be ordered from Texas (IIRC), but no info about the delivery date.
Then rumours circulated saying that PVF had run out of money, which would be confirmed by its website having gone down.

Which would then mean that NUOG withheld material information from the Nomad and the market.

And next thing we know, PVF is now suing!

Colin would only leave if he realised that he could not keep earning a salary from this company in the medium-long term = prospects are extra bleak in his view.

And "suspending" the order of the compressor, while it makes sense, also confirms that the gas coming out will be next to none by the time the equipment would have been installed in 2-3 months' time.

Agreed, Colin's departure will not magically change the interests of the various manipulators in Slovenia. And presumably, if there were still money to be made, Colin would still be around. His departure suggests that the situation is getting hopeless...

I pointed out a 1-2 weeks ago that the compressor would only increase the productivity of the gas AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION. So if there is almost zero gas coming out in 2-3 months, the multiplied result still won't be glorious...

so it makes sense to suspend the order. Assuming the money left can be used to get a Croatian plot.

gary - a pattern can only be identified when there have been enough occurrences to make that pattern visible in the first place.

gekkonis - that was true back in 2016. However, that line of argument is NOT included in the list of grounds in Colin's RNS.

I suspect that is because that ground cannot be raised anymore as the d/l to appeal that Slovenian court decision from Spring/summer 2016 has passed long ago - probably 2 to 2.5 years ago! So that argument is dead.

It IS as a scam - see my post on the NUOG bb from a few min ago summarising their tricks.

Additionally, about a year ago I had a call with a non-exec after I threatened Simon to push for a resolution forcing the BoD to be paid in shares only. That non-exect arranged a call with me as a result. While he did not give me any confidential material info, it became clear to me that they are a bunch of scammers after the comments he made to me, incl:
- that the auditors can be fully trusted in their assessment that the company's practices are appropriate since they get to walk into the building so they see it is all legit (I should have replied "what about Enron?"!)
- that the meaning of "being on site" also includes "being in another location but planning the work".
- that they had given a timing approximation re: PL2002 (whichever earlier RNS it was) because if they hadn't, the SP would drop (a timing that had passed by weeks (IIRC) by the time I made the call, and the non-exec actually half admitted that this estimation was sort of reckless / the product of wishful thinking).

I lost a fair bit of money on this quasi-scam myself overall, though nowhere as much as others.

NUOG's key tricks to con more PIs over the years in were:
- pseudo "insiders" who were no more than pawns of the Mintys to spread fake leaks of deals around the corner and try to smother under long and frequest posts anyone on this BB and Twitter who was asking genuinely good questions (there were trolls too admittedly).
- mock agreements with big businesses, that actually contained nothing binding whatsoever (Aibel? Konsberg? Aker? COSL? etc.)
- change of name from Enegi to NUOG and ABT to MFDevCo and fake CEO - we all know by now that Alan Minty remained the boss for all intents and purposes during Nigel's tenure.

The PVF energy deal made sense, but I can't help but wonder whether PVF is now suing not because pressure has been put on them to do something (in which case that lawsuit would be stupid and bound to be a failure, and I don't think that PVF are dumb) or rather because they believe NUOG had misrepresented some facts about that oilfield... This is purely speculative from me.

Yes, there has to be an underlying story / asset of value. SPs can collapse because of a substantial delay etc., but when the very value of the asset(s) is questioned, then it's a very different story and an SP is unlikely to recover, unless a miracle happens and a new asset is discovered, or it turns out that above devaluation was a mistake. But that's hoping for luck.

The big difference is that back then:
- they'd recently changed their name so people with memory problems forgot the history.
- it hadn't been through the same intensity of fake agreements with big companies as much in the last 2.5 years. Now pulling out another vacuous agreement doesn't have the same impact as it used to.
- Allan Minty is old and seems less actively engaged in spreading rumours about a big deal just around the corner.
- the "insider" con has also become stale, so that can't be used as a source of fake leaks anymore.
