I'd personally wait to see how this settles in late afternoon before setting a buy-in target - of course, you can lose the chance to make some money on the intraday bounce, if any, but the last drop and the following days' market reaction makes me cautious.

I witness a similar thing with PANR. Although it's a very different business / industry, the drop carried on for a few days after too.

Shouldn't you be careful with this one mate? The last time it dropped, it carried on falling over the next few days before stabilising - and the RSI was about as low last time as well.

I'd see the pattern reproducing itself again.

Now that serious money is coming in again, I'm more confident that the uptrend has resumed...

Agreed Investor1111 - people too often blame it on the MMs when the SP goes down. there has been a steady flow of sales today.
If you believe it will pay out, buy in or hold. if you don't, sell.

It was more likely to be a buy. You have to look at the SPs of individual transactions relative to the ones just before and just after to deduce what is what. There are very very rare instances where the real sell SP (“bid”) is the same, or even higher, as the real buy SP (“ask”), but it’s in circumstances where the volume is huge and/or something dramatic is happening to the company being traded (for example, the immediate aftermath of the Beaufort debacle combined with a failed placing). So 95% of the time, I trust the above method. The advertised spread is therefore wrong - if not a lie.

mainshare - very unlikely, except for any possible additional acquisitions. The RNSs of July (?) state that UKOG was fully funded for its planned programme of works, well into 2019 IIRC.

At 08:00:21 yesterday, to buy 122.252 shares: SP at 4.085p

later on, after a gradual decrease:

At 10:47:56 - to buy 78,986 shares: SP at 3.65p (the likely bottom of yesterday)

then followed by two share buys at 11:07 then 12:07:27 for SPs of 3.65 and 3.70.

My own subsequent share buy minutes later was at an SP of 3.74p.

Thus, looking at the drop then the subsequent brief rise of the real (vs advertised) ask, there was a bounce.

In that case I was factually correct - I count about 3 x as many sells as buys (and one transaction that looks uncertain) in the morning since the open at a price hikes by the MMs, down to the one at an sp of 3.60 at 10:38:37.

Thinking they can predict the future is the contrary of what I wrote earlier. It’s a tool to be used in conjonction with others. It’s the wind to a hunter about to shoot an arrow.

It’s not black and white either - if you view charts in an extreme way, you are bound to be disappointed. It’s a bit like a sniper - if he ignores the wind, he is less likely to shoot accurately. But if he ignored the wind, he would be inaccurate too. Charts, when well done and well interpreted (charts don’t say anything btw, they are interpreted by competent or incompetent people), help your buying and selling to be better timed.

Just learn how they work and you can then decide which ones are good, which ones aren’t worth the paper they are printed on. Plenty of people post bullshit charts, but some do produce good ones. Or make them yourself.

It hasn't, you will find that MMs actually buy shares for 2.39p at present - what they advertise is not what they actually buy/sell for.

It's to manipulate people into believing that the SP is going down, and make them sell or deter them from buying.

The superb volume means that the spread is very low for an AIM share.

Taking into account that as an AIM share, there is no stamp duty, it's cheaper to trade this share than a main market one with much larger capitalisation.

Chillax people, we are still in a solid uptrend overall supported by a steady newsflow (whether via unofficial photos from the very helpful PIs on the ground, or occasional RNSs of updates about the flow test).
