I’ve taken a lot of stick for calling a placing here (albeit I thought it would have been in Q3). I wonder if those same people will have the good grace to acknowledge that it was a correct call and not baseless de ramping. I doubt it somehow.

Granted there are legitimate areas to discuss and debate about aspects of BT's performance in the last year, and about strategic direction, but to label him in such terms is really extreme and unjustified imo.

The truth is, we will only be able to judge this in maybe 6-12 months, and BT could still be vindicated in relation to all this. I'm intrigued to know about this Zimbabwe asset and my firm expectation is that it will represent lower hanging fruit and provide some immediate upside. And Ditau seems to be shaping up really nicely well. All imo and dyor

D2B - it was said that the Sofori Rig had returned to 'base' from another job. The problem has been finding any information on what job that was. If you search online, it's hard to find much information about this Rig and what it has been doing in recent times. I suspect, therefore, that it's mainly been drilling in Tunisia.

I wonder how NHE and/or He1 ended up with Sofori given its relative low profile.

I would imagine that He1 will also want to and need to drill and appraisal well, if they are successful at Tai. The lack of comms from He1 means we don't know what their intentions would be on a success outcome, but I would expect LB to address such questions when she resurfaces from hiding.

Interesting to hear NHE talk about and name some of their offtake interest in today's presentation. Either they are just spinning, or they are genuinely lining up the ducks for rapid monetisation of their helium within 2 years. Very impressive (or impressive sounding at least)!

There must be a RNS incoming. Probably one that explains why PB are investing so heavily. The highest one day and weekly volume that KAV has had, and so I am thinking it must be something reasonably big?

IAR - as far as we are aware, NHE are drilling two targets in Q3. They have said that they will be retaining the Rig to then return after the rainy season. I believe their intention then would then be to drill appraisal wells (assuming they are successful with their exploratory drilling) and/or they might also drill a third exploration target. But they will likely need to raise funds again for any return drilling. All imo and dyor

In a way, it's more important for He1 to ensure the Rig is in full working order and carry out a very thorough inspection of that, as well as ensuring the necessary documentation is in place, simply because we are drilling first with this Rig. Therefore, if any complications arise, it will mess up our drill and not NHE's.

When He1 were previously sourcing a Rig (the one before the Exhalo option), it took a long time to inspect and audit that Rig. DM often made the point that it was vitally important that any issues are remedied whilst the Rig is in the inspection yard, than when its been mobilised to Rukwa.

And so as well as the contracting side of things, I am sure the Rig has been going through extensive checks and testing, which might explain the time it has taken? All imo and dyor

Roger65 - thanks for the response. I guess the basis for my post is the fact that its very rare to get any share price returns from soil sampling and geological surveys. I'm not saying that never happens, but it is rare. Usually and often, it needs drilling programmes and drilling results to move the needle. That is also true of POW. Those of us who are LTH can testify that the share price has only really moved on drilling results, or anticipation of drilling results, rather than work aimed at identifying drilling targets.

The problem, or point that I have often made before, is that it can take POW such a long time to actually get to drilling stage at its projects, that you spend a lot of the time listening to the potential of the projects and waiting for that potential to actually be tested. And a LOT can and does happen in that time to your investment and the share price. See the chart for the last 1-2 years for evidence of that.

As for Rick Rule's investments - that sounds positive but see my previous postings about it. All imo and dyor

I'm thinking that even this Uranium side of our portfolio might continue to need a LOT of patience. This "exploration programme" is geo surveys and soil sampling, with a view to then proving up drill targets. Is the intention that POW will drill some of these targets itself, or is it more likely that any drilling will be undertaken through the IPO? If the latter, then it could take another 18 months to launch the Uranium IPO, and for the IPO to then get drilling?

Do we know what "expedited" actually means in this context? I remember when this was said of the previous IPOs and it still took a long time to get them issued.

Do we know when this interview is out. Is it another one with AS asking the questions?

It's crazy. I sort of feel that if ECR released a RNS saying they were taking a wage cut, or entering a salary sacrifice scheme, that would do more for the share price than their current exploration news.

Mental - re your question about shareholder intervention, the issue is not so much about legalities, but more about having large shareholders on board leading any such co-ordinated action. Without them, the BOD isn't going to 'listen'.
