investor show update25 Apr 2018 18:15
second to none. This has already been realised with the accusation of Eureka , I got the feeling from AP Vast could well be seeing more of this type of structured deal put on the table. I must say having spoken to Will a few times in the past I share APs thoughts about him, his drive and desire to see Vast make the most of the new regime change in Zim is clear to see and understand . I look forward to seeing Will bring more deals to the table in the future.
5, Marange (Diamond Claims) after asking AP about the possibilities of the diamond claim ever been re-instated, his answer was this is a very delicate and complicated matter and will require some extensive dialogue. He was unable to talk any further on this matter due to the sensitive nature.
6, Pickstone Peerless / Giant Mine. Pickstone is performing extremely well AP hinted in his last podcast. We are still mining the oxides with a changeover to the sulphides once we have extracted all value from the oxides , Ap is extremely happy with PP and the team on the ground delivering great numbers from the mine, he is fully confident of a smooth transition over to the sulphides when the business case requires this change.
7, Further Accusations in Zimbabwe. With the new regime change and Will leading the Vast team in Zimbabwe I get the feeling that we are well placed and in the early mover position to pick up further assets in which could be a very exciting time for Vast in Zimbabwe.
8, The significance of the mercuria deal and also the SSGI funding deal. Having the likes of Mercuria a $90 billion company invest in a pre-payment off take a agreement is of hugh significance to vast. A very strict and in-depth DD was performed by mercuria especially on the Manailla mine and the confidence shown by Mercuria is amazing, for Vast to get this pre-payment funding is really transformational for the company. It seems to me that SSGI will be playing an active part of our growth plans for Zimbabwe, with a renewed working relationship with Vast and SSCG its exciting times ahead I feel for all shareholders.
Positive times ahead for Vast in my opinion , having attended many investor shows and general meetings for vast I must say this is the most confident that I have ever been. Andrew P the CEO has transformed this company in the 4 months that he has been in the role, he has drastically changed the way in which the business will develop in the way it pursues its accusation. My personal thoughts are that the SP is lagging because of a lack of confidence shown by the city because of some of the disastrous deals that were stuck under the old CEO. Now this has changed and the City is starting to see the entrepreneurial skills shown by Ap a totally different outlook is emerging for Vast.
