You were posting similar stuff when the sp was in the mid to low 80s.
You are pu55ing in the wind if you think you have any influence on the short term sp.
Most here are here for the longer term.

Great news Emerald, maybe have to suffer an increase in deaths which is very sad but like the rest of the world they have no choice.
When flight numbers increase which is inevitable, revenue from servicing contracts should increase too.

Perhaps the world should take a lesson from the Russian Ukraine war and 'row back' from being wholly dependable on cheap slave made goods. All arriving in containers (made in China) from China.

I think you guys are missing the point. This is about the ability to pay that debt down. The ‘jam tomorrow’ is what will be paying the debt off.
This gives confidence to the institutions that debt will be covered when the contract awards are bringing in revenue.
I’m here for the long term and already in profit but happy to add on the dips. Nothing goes up in a straight line as they say.

What it does demonstrate, is that RR ability to pay off debt should not be of any concern for the institutions, Should put further pressure on the remaining 'shorts' to close before the new CEO is in place. Flurry of news it seems at the moment and all positive.

If you read the article fully, it states that the award will be formally announced next week in Washington at the Association of US Army conference. So, I would expect that id when a RNS will be issued. ,

Badland, it's a start and another revenue stream to pay down debt. Some flight companies in China will recognise the need for having their planes ready for use after many have been mothballed. Already flight searches are up massively over there.
Time will tell but good positive news.

Great news for RR and forward revenue. Huge number of servicing contracts out there that will resume. Imo, easing upg up of restriction will accelerate now that there is a shift of policy.
Only a matter of time before the news is reflected in the sp.

I posted a link last week in relation to China and it’s flights. Just my opinion but this is the main reason why the sp is being held up.
China’s pandemic strategy has backfired massively over their. They use their own developed vaccines which are at best 70% efficacy compared to 90% elsewhere. Also they have tried to avoid’herd immunity’ causing lockdowns to be the only alternative.
Worth following news reports over there as it should serve as a bellwether for this investment.

I suppose it depends how quickly they want the order filled. Not so sure GE would have the capacity to meet a sizeable order.

Good news for RR order book, especially if as big an order as expected. Maybe some airline companies will purchase the 787 in order to reduce the number of flights for smaller aircrafts. Certainly a commercial way of reducing emissions.
Surely with the new CEO due and all this news we should see a reversal of the sp direction.

I know this will only interest the investors here but even the 'shove a penny' guys may like it too. Potentially more revenue coming back to the company. Good news and should see a few analysts change their outlook for RR.

Echoes a report I was reading last month. Maybe the reason why RR have lagged behind other post Covid recovery companies.
China opening up international travel should see a strong re rate.
Seems their vaccination program and harsh lockdowns are only hampering any herd immunity which other countries have embraced.

Try not to post on this bb despite being a holder. Surely the sp is irrelevant on a day to day basis. This is a recovery investment post Covid and the expectation that RR will be involved in new technologies that will bring in other revenue streams.
From my experience those investors that constantly monitor the penny moves up or down are usually looking at making 10% before moving on.
All these nonsense posts including mine make any decent researched posts disappear into the ether.

China has cut its isolation period for overseas travellers by 2 days (announced last week). Not much comfort now for the long-haul revenue that's generated there. However, certainly a sign that an exit plan out of covid has begun.
