Likewise Poker, all the best. Thank goodness my boring TSCO shares have covered my losses here. (boring is good) Also my recent divi in HOC bought me 2 weeks in the sun, Good luck with your other investments.

I'm sure this is an overreaction and I am positive HOC will issue further statements calming investors concerns. Traders will do well today but wont be holding the bath water as legal wrangling's ensue. Peru is uninvest able now and sadly so is HOC. Environmental concerns will give the government the 'trump card' and steal the company at a fraction of the value.
Thinking now that the BoDs knew what was coming in relation to renewal of licences which prompted the decision to demerge Aclara thereby guaranteeing themselves another company to run and of course their income.
Out. Took the hit. Any legal action could take months. Bought here because I thought the Peruvian Govt. realised they needed the miners and foreign investment but clearly they are untrustworthy. Had worse days. Good luck to those riding this out.
Personally, I will make the decision whether or not to take the Aclara shares based on the price of HOC at the time and on the short term outlook on precious metals.
At this present moment in time given the option I would buy more HIC with the proceeds as I can see a better capital return.
That said Aclara should be well received when listed with a great potential and will always be on the radar for a cheap takeover.
All opinion of course but of course fundamentals can change very quickly.
Kept my promise not to engage on any discussion on this bb in relation to IMM and their IR and apparent contempt for their share holders. Posted by me several months ago......

I am aware of timeframes for the P3 study but I am discussing the lead up to that. As you are well aware, this is not 1991 when investors backed growing companies and were more patient with their investments.
This is 2021 where the investor is looking for a quick turnaround.
Won’t post on the bb for a few weeks and will hold my hands up and admit I got it wrong.
I know this company inside and out in relation to IR and I know Tim and Lisa will not be in any rush to put out any news that will calm investor frustrations.'
So predictable!

Some discussion on the ADVFN bb. Member steve seems to have a good understanding of the options to shareholders. Whatever you decide, HOC will still hold a 20% interest in Aclara so investors here should see some capital gain in our sp when revenue is finally being generated from the REM asset.
….. could not cope’

Quite right. That’s my view too. The arrogance of these people is unbelievable. People make their own choices.
Yesterday I flew back to the UK. She was with her husband and child. During the flight I got chatting and she told me she was an ICU nurse in Leeds. I told her what a sterling job the NHS have done and her eyes ‘welled up’.
She told me that she could cope with the intensity pre vaccine.
Bottom line is we all make our own choices.
If I was nervous over having the vaccine, whether it's because I was anxious over needles or not being confident in the science then I would be humbled by the people taking up the offer of a vaccine. That way the risk to me being unvaccinated would be reduced significantly. My 2 eldest daughters who have not had children want to wait a little more before making a decision which I respect but my 15 year old was only too happy to have it.
I'm glad to say my 2 eldest don't excuse their decision on any conspiracy theory or arrogant enough to think the majority of people are delusional or uneducated. Only a coward would say that to hide behind their own insecurities.
Living in the West, we should be grateful that we live in a society that can offer us options unlike many poorer countries that have not even vaccinated 10% of their population.
I have lost 3 very good friends since the start of the pandemic. All pre vaccine. Says it all really.
Apologies OT. Rant over.
Despite originally being informed by biker that I can trade my paper certificate online. Now they have just contacted me to say that they cannot do this but would recommend a selection of Canadian brokers.
May have to have a change of strategy. Anyone else in a similar position. Or views on options available to them.
Just back from Cyprus who have a 'passport system' going into bars, tavernas and supermarkets. No complaints over there and a general acceptance that this is just the way it is. After visits to the same venues they never asked to see it if they recognised you from previous visits.
Slightly off this subject, when I was away I noticed the Cypriot High Street has not seen the same number of shop closures as the UK. Lots of people that are not comfortable with shopping online have very little choice on where to shop for Christmas presents. I can see some of the larger outlets being one shop for all type of places and see a significant increase in non food items.
