Just a thought, if any private investor has a stop loss in place with their broker then it may be prudent to reconsider. Would be quite easy to drop the sp and 'fish them out of the pot'

Was going to post the same. Unfortunately my shares in 3 investment ISAs. are held in nominee accounts. Not something I thought about when switching to online trading. I posted some device on the bb a few months ago on the importance of doing due diligence before choosing an online broker.
I cannot do anything other than sit on my hands and accept the current derisory offer if no counter bid comes in.

Well guys, if you and your close family members have good health then we can put today’s disappointing news in perspective. I will have to wait until next year for my asset to be freed up by the administrators .
Some great posters on here who have contributed valuable research. However, you can only form opinions and make decisions based on integrity and honesty.
Sadly not all human beings hold the same values. I sincerely hope that those LTHs with higher averages recover their money elsewhere.

3putt, as I posted earlier I suspect GEO will be mopping up shares, so any counter offer will have to be tabled very quickly. It’s a win win at the mo for GEO, they takeover the company on the cheap, probably buying shares at a discount to their offer. Or worse case scenario, sell shares at a profit should a hostile bid materialise and that bid is accepted.

Would not surprise me if GEO are mopping all these shares up at sub 19. Makes perfect sense if they are. For all those selling someone is happy to load up at sub 19... swimming with sharks!

Thought this was nailed on at mid 20s but see if this low ball offer flushes out a counter offer.

The sp dropped so low due to supply and demand. Rex Harbour was feeding the market when demand was low due to a number of reasons including low oil prices.

Mav, the trade size could be pi's that were expecting news sooner and now selling to free up funds for elsewhere. If a seller was buying at 12p then the amounts are not that big. In any case if someone is selling then someone is buying at these levels and must feel confident that any bid exceeds the initial 17p offer.

Ramping up if production facilities would offset a lot of their tax liabilities but I would assume monies owed would be based on production figures.

Baysil, I see from the latest tenderdoc that ONGC that they are wanting a certifying agency for annual reserves and reserves estimates in the CPO-5 block. You have to ask yourself why now. Looks like they are trying to put a price on the entire field. You have to ask yourself why a state run company would want to do that at this early stage of development. Why not wait until after the 2 further drills planned for this year. I will post a summary from 'The Scope of Work' Page 59.

Having just glanced at the MWG bb it would be reasonable to come to the conclusion that you have a problem with the fellow member and I doubt you posting on this bb will change riddler's style of posting, the content or the daily amount.

No one predicted a stampede of neves tor’s today. Anyone researched will already be here. My point was raising the price too quickly could attract a lot of traders who may be gambling on news leaking.

Price firmly under control of the institutions. Drop it too much and they risk bargain hunters seizing the opportunity. Increase the price too much and they risk a stampede of investors thinking that news has leaked out.
Couldn’t care less when we get news as king as that news is favourable for the private investor.

Drilling program has been mothballed during the sale process. Frustrating but does make sense re valuation. Any buyer will know the potential of the OBA and CPO-5 etc.
What is increasing is our cash pile, and infrastructure.
This is the time for the most patient to benefit from news. As for piling in elsewhere, we all have companies on our watch list that increase in MC but forget about the ones that have fallen away!
